| Moving Question? My BF and I are moving the end of April to a bigger place (Yay) Anyways, I was wondering if any of your Yorkies have gone through a move and if there is anything I can do to make it easier on my two girls? Our new place is just a 5 min drive away haha so there is not a lot of traveling involved but I don't want my girls to get stressed out with being in a new place. They came straight from the breeders house to this place and grew up here so I know it will be a little tough for them.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | We moved 5 tims in 5 years when I had my Yorkie Zorro. What we did is we got the place set up as soon as we moved in, my hubby would stay up till it was done and we never had any problems. good luck

| I moved Simon and Hallie from Alaska to Virginia and finally here to NY! What I made sure to do was move in their stuff first (food bowls, beds, toys) so they knew it was their space too. They are so adaptable I'm sure they will be just fine. Good Luck and Congratulations on your new place |

| We moved last summer. What I did was bring the dogs in their crates first before anything else. I left them in their crates while we where moving in and let them get used to the smell and etc. Anytime we took a break from moving I let the dogs out to explore their new yard, home, etc. They did fine. I even had a litter of Cocker pups that were only 3 days old and it didn't even stress them or their mum out! Good luck on your move! |

| Congratulations on your new home. We have been here for 22 years. If we were going to move, I guess I would put Princess's stuff out first. Our friend moved last summer, her furbabies did great. I'm sure they will do fine. Enjoy your new home!!

| We moved 3 weeks ago. The girls did great, before we finally moved in, we brought them here very regularly to show them around and get them used to the place, we gave their potties a place so they got used to "their potty corner" The day we moved in we took care of their belongings first ( food bowls/water dispenser - toys - crate - blankies & our bed ) our bed is their bed lol ... i kept their treats at hand so that i could "praise" them for using their "new potty corner" (they are litterbox trained) They adapt very quickly, so there's no need to worry Good luck with the move!
