How did you teach Chachi to fall down and play dead when you pretend shot her? I want to teach Snoodles that, baut don't ;know how to go about it! Thanks! Pat

Mybirdie2003- This was an easy trick for us to teach. We always use the gun hand signal and start by saying dead. Then we would roll him on his back. Followed by giving him praise and treat. It took about three or four days of that and then he just started to roll over on his back on his own.

Thanks! Chachi"s mom! I appreciate that! She will play dead, so hopefully, she will learn to do it with the sign for a gun! Ha! Will let you know how that goes! I have to tell you the funny thing-----she will do all her tricks for the same food that is in her dish! So, it must be the interaction they like! It's funny, though! I can walk over to her dish pick up some food out of it,and she goes crazy to do her tricks!

Mybirdies2003- Well its gonna be real easy for you to teach if she already plays dead. Just start using the hand signal when you say it. Then swich over to only using the hand signal. Chachi caught on to this quick.

Chachi"s Mom! It worked! I did the gun sign, and said bang! And down she went and played dead! Can't believe it! It was wonderful! Thank you so much! Now, I need her to go down with just the hand signal, huh? That should come easy once she knows the gun signal. She went down everytime, though! They are such cuties!

Thats great that she got that so quick. It sounds like she is very teachable when it comes to these tricks. Did you happen to see the post about tricks in the training section. Passionfruitation wrote it. It was a really good article about teaching them different tricks. On the dead trick they had the dog crawling before he rolls over and plays dead. Definitely gave me some new ideas. Take care.

Pita was "sitting" for about a month then I don't know what happened ... now she bounces backwards and act annoyed when we ask her to sit??

I need to work on some tricks, Pita's falling behind!!

Thank's Chachi! Always like praises about our pets! I will have to visit that sight when I get through---never even saw it! I'm sure it must be neat. Snoodles now sits, begs, lays down, dances, rolls over, crawls, jumps through the hoops, and now plays dead with the gun signal! Now isn't she talented? Ha! Ha! Am going to try to put on some pictures of her today. I'm not too good at it, so may not come through! Pat
