BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | why do some and some don't? I was reading the thread about having to choose between puppy and BF, well her dog is chewing things up, I just wonder if it's not getting it's nutrition, Kloey has never chewed up anything in the house, so why do some dogs chew up things and others don't? I give her a bully stix to chew on and she does chew that. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I think it varies from dog to dog, but think supervision is the key. Ramsey is with me 24/7, no kidding, but if my attention is diverted...I've caught her chewing items that she shouldn't. At those times, I remove whatever she's found to amuse herself with something appropriate.

| Stormy is with me all day long. He's never had a chewing problem. I do believe that some dogs may chew out of boredom. Just my opinion...

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali will chew on wood and metal. She is eating the wood frame on my box spring. I have to watch her every second when under my bed.

| Max and Abbie chew when they are not supervised which is why they are crated when they are not supervised. It definitely is not as bad as when they were very young but they still chew occasionally when they are bored. I just divert their attention to something fun and they forget all about what they were chewing

| My female never chewed and my male (puppy) tries to chew anything. Of course he is the one who is 6 mos. and hasn't gotten any permanent teeth in so maybe he's a perpetual teether. |

| I always have wondered because my friends yorkie chews through EVERYTHING. He's like a pirhana (sp). Coco hasn't chewed anything. A couple of times I've caught her chewing my carpet when she was younger but some bitter apple helped with that. I've left shoes around, cords, ect. she's never chewed it up. I don't know what it could be. But I also never left her unattended for a second as a pup, and always made her understand when she did something wrong.
