| Question about feeding... I was told when I got my baby that once he is 1 year old I will only be feeding him 2 times a day. Well his Birthday is next week and I am not sure what to do. Right now he eats in the morning before I go to work (wet food) Then when I leave, I leave him some wet and dry (I am gone for about 8 hours) then he will eat again at night (wet food) When and how am I suppose to change this? |

| I have never heard that you are to change the feeding pattern at a year of age. Oscar has always been free fed (dry food down all the time) and he is 18 months old now. If he is doing good, I would not change a thing.

| You are doing exactly what I do. You don't need to leave any down at night. They are such small dogs and much better off to eat small amounts. If he is getting too portly, you can just cut down how much you leave down for him. |

| Ihave heard you go down from 3 feedings a day when they are pups to two when they are adults. So I dont think you need to change a thing.

| He is only 3.5lbs maybe a little closer to 4lbs since last time we were at the vet. I give him 1 ceasers a day divided in 3 meals and he isnt starved or getting any bigger so I assume its good by him. Even though he acts starved when he smells chicken cooking.. hehe |
