Lately my Bailey has taken to licking everyone's feet. I have two boys age 12 and 8, he goes after their feet most, and if they are wearing socks, he trys like crazy to get them off. It doesn't matter who, and does not matter what your feet are doing, he will fight like mad to get to them and start licking. Is this normal? LOL aside from tickling everyone, he doesn't do any real harm.

Yes it is normal. My jewels is a foot licker. At least he isnt biting right?

Tucker does it. Totally grosses me out. I hate anyone even LOOKING at my feet.

Gracie is a foot licker and I have to admit- I kind of like it. Hmm, can't find a blushing smilie.

Dutchess my maltese has a total foot fetish. she will fight with the blankets to get to them lay on you, to keep them there, heaven forbid if you have a sore or something she goes mad, but man does it feel good after 8 hours of being on your feet, i have my own masseuse!

Feet, Shoes, Socks, Slippers you name it, if has anything to do with feet Jack will either lick it, hide it, chase it, chew it. He actually sits and waits for us to get undressed to try to grab a sock.

Well thank heavens my Topher isn't alone!! He loves to lick feet and smell stinky socks...lol...especially hubby's when he comes home from work...ugh! Topher and I are usually napping in bed when hubby comes home and he brings me my coffee and comes and lies down with us. Topher sniffs and licks at his work socks as we chat about our day....lol...it's a riot. I thought it was just him so it's comforting to know he's not the only yorkie with a love for smellie tootsies!
(he also steals socks from the spilled over hamper and hides them in his crate!)

Yup is normal. Gucci is a foot licker also. I dont mind her licking my leg but my feet not so much.

Licking is a dogs way of showing its love, it is grooming you. It is trying to take care of you. My shih tzu will wake me up in the middle of the night licking my feet.
