Max seemed really irritated when I brought Abbie home because he had been "king" for an entire year and now there was this other "thing" that was in his space. It took at least a month for him to warm up to Abbie. It did seem like they were fighting but I convinced myself that they were playing and I made sure that I showed Max tons of attention so that he didn't feel neglected now that a new puppy was in the house. Now they are so attached to each other. Maybe they just need some time to get to know each other

Yes, but he is a "big guy" to her because her fully grown yorkie and her puppy (same age as big guy, actually) are both smaller than him.

If 4.5 lbs is big, I guess I have 2 colossal yorkies--Max is 11lbs and Abbie is a whopping 14 lbs :eek:

I hate to see so much about a yorkie's size. Why is it big one, small one, old one? Do we call our children that or our friends? There is so much to these dogs than size. I hate for people to think that big ones are any less cute when they are just as precious, lovable and worth just as much. I understand charging less for the ones that are above the breed standard. But I hate it when I see people charge more for the really small ones. Why should that attribute make them worth more? You don't see breeders charging more for the ones that are more affectionate.

I don't necessarily disagree and perhaps if this particular subject comes up again one should just skip on by, because as you said, she's gotten more than enough good advice.

He was ok till about the time we got the little guy. I think he was just getting use to around here and started.I feel gulity separting them and one has to be in crate and another loose. I am going to tryt he apple bitter where do I FIND THAT? He has always been ruff with big guy but my big guy can hanlde irt and when he dont want it he snaps back or jump on the couch. Benji is good with the baby untill tike go after him the they both jump in.
