I would love to give that BIG poor little guy a loving home and give him ALL the LOVE and attention he deserves! I truly do believe that is why he is acting out! He is craving attention, and if you can't give it to him Marykay---find him a home where he will be #1! PLEASE! All furbabies deserve equal loving! |
Where's that ZIP!!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ :) |
All i can picture is this pup wondering what he did that was so wrong..very sad. Oh what do IMO mean since I'm in the market of asking questions lol.. |
In the last thread where you posted about possibly getting rid of this pup there was someone who possibly wanted to adopt it. Why dont you pm her. |
oh god.... I'm in stitches reading this tread. LOL :lol tears But really.... it's not that funny. Does any of these dogs have names?????? Wouldn't it be easier to give the names instead of Big guy, little guy, new guy and old guy? I love yorkies...and always will but I saw a baby maltese years ago and I fell in love. He was so small and I took him home and was told he would be about 4 lbs full grown. Welll...... my BaoBao has grown to be a whopping 12 pounder... LOL and he is a doll. Would never get rid of him.... sweet as pie and my yorkies all sort of pick on him but he a great boy! My point is..... it takes time to get the family dynamics and a week ain't going to do it. I have rescued yorkies before and placed them in wonderful homes. Some older dogs have never been with dogs and they need to be an only child.... in your case... this is a baby you took in. If you really don't want him...... it's better for him to find a family that will. And I don't think people here are trying to give you a hard time but I guess we are look at things from the point of view of the dog. Good Luck and I hope you let us know what happens to Big Guy. |
Ok so here is the deal, MaryKay had a yorkie already, I believe he is 4 yrs old! She went and bought this "big guy" from a pet store he is 12 or 13 weeks old and weighs 4.5 lbs. P.S. His name is Little Tike! Ok then she went and bought a smaller one 1 week later which was last week! So she is afraid that Little Tike is going to hurt the new baby (dont know his name) but the problem is that she is holding him 24 hours a day bc she is afraid that he will get hurt! Ok so I hope that I didnt confuse you guys anymore! IMO I think that Little Tike maybe getting jealous of the new little one bc his mommy is holding him all the time! |
I swore, I was done with this... I just find it strange, that you have never said YOU love him, YOU'll miss him, YOU don't wanna get rid of him... That is why I think everyone is having a hard time understanding, we are all,, no matter what we would do ANYTHING to keep our babies.. and it just seems you'll find any excuse not to.. JMO |

ill take him ship him here ! |
This is so ridiculous!!! I can't even believe it. When you get a dog, it to love UNCONDITIONALLY. What is so hard to understand about that? I thought Thor was going to be 5 lb-ish, guess what, he has doubled plus a couple lbs. He is still my number one!!!! It would really simplify things if names of the dogs were said instead of big dog, new little dog and old dog. Good LORD woman! This is absurd. I think that you should give them all away to loving homes.... |
I am going to go out on a limb here but this is just my opinion and each person has to decide what is right for themselves. In this case I think it is best for you to rehome your bigger pup. Guilt is never a reason to keep a dog and your big guy will probably always be a problem to your little ones. I really think in the best interest of the dog you either find a home where he will be loved for himself and size is not an issue or you turn him over to a reputable rescue which will find the perfect home for him. I know people are having problems with this issue and I can understand why but I think you have to think of this pup who will always be in trouble with you and can't be a puppy and do the things puppies do. I really do think this is the kindness thing you can do for this pup. In rescue many young pups (5/6 months old) have come through (due to different situtations but mainly due to potty training or no time for the dog or issues with other dogs) and in some cases the people really did love their dog but realized the kindest thing they could do was turn them over to rescue. I appreciated people being honest because during many of the interviews with these people they always would say we were going to give them up, people made us feel guilty and it just progresssively got worst. In the long run more harm (not abuse for the most part) was done to the pup or they spent to much time in kennels. :( |
I'll adopt him don't worry anymore.... :aimeeyork |

I am having a hard time understanding all of this. (not the story, I finally got it after you guys were so gracious to explain. For a while there I was lost!! ;) ) What I can't understand is how some people can be so casual about getting rid of an animal that has been a part of the family for a while. Pets are not like handbags that can be tossed when they go out of style or you get a newer, more compact one to fit your needs. Animals, like human beings need time to adjust to their surroundings. Just as human children often feel jealous and neglected when a new sibling arrives in the home, dogs feel threatened when another dog is added to the family. I would NEVER give my baby away because he was too big or because he didn't get along with another dog. I am not in anyway meaning to offend anyone but I strongly suspect that the dog in question here is being reconsidered because of his size and nothing more. To me, it is cruel, heartless and unfair to the animal and in my opinion (and solely my opinion) these people should reconsider owning any pets at all. :thumbdown |
You and your husband need to sit down and decide if you can make a lifetime commitment to all 3 dogs. For all you know, the baby one could be bouncing off the walls in a few weeks time. Most puppies go thru these stages. If you and your husband are not willing to work with all 3 dogs then you need to make the decision to rehome as soon as possible. |
