| I am soooo grateful to you ALL! You have all helped me so much! I have learned so much about how to know if I have the right breeder for me, training tips, health information and even fantastic sales on doggy items! Some of you may know, I was expecting to bring home a Yorkie baby the end of May... I'm sorry to say that I was second on the list with my breeder and my puppy did not make it. I have learned from this site that for myself, I really need to get my puppy from someone that I believe considers what is best for dogs and their puppies for the long term no matter the price or size of the dog. I signed agreements for the care and safety of my rescue pets and my breeder expects the same of her puppies. All of you have shared your opinions and experiences with breeders and health issues and you have all helped to educate me about Yorkies and their needs. Stacy also helped me realize how lucky I truly am to have a breeder who cares so much for her dogs. So, I am going to wait on my breeder as long as I need to...and if that doesn't work out, I guess the old minivan will have to make it to PA! I just needed to thank you all... I don't know about the rest of the country, but finding someone here who isn't so quick to get my Credit Card number before asking me some nosey questions is sooo rare... Out of grief the other day, I emailed or called every puppy owner I could find in my area (in the newspaper or on the internet...) and not one asked ME any questions about my family or home I would provide for the puppy. Three of them asked if I could bring CASH that afternoon... Thank you also to all of the breeders who sweat it out and are careful with their babies. Brenda PS, I'm not drunk, even though today is a holiday....I'm just feeling out loud.

| Brenda - what a wonderful post and so honest. I know it is so hard to wait but in the long run it will be so worth it. You will know your little buddle of joy is coming from a breeder that cares which means your little one will be real quality. I wish you lived closer to me as you could borrow a couple of mine (just joking) until your new little one was in your home.

| The best part of all...is that my breeder will let me go visit starting at about 4-5 weeks she said and we do a "blanket swap" then, where she gives me the one the baby and mommy have been sleeping on, and I give her a new one to get scented.. She also told me that she would use whatever name I choose so that it will know it's name when it comes home. She really is awesome, and thanks to everyone here, I appreciate it all the more.. Brenda

| Who is this breeder and where does she live in Oklahoma. We are just 2 miles from the Oklahoma line. I have a friend and a cousin who want a Yorkie and don't know if my breeder will have 2 small females for a while. If there are any breeders with small females in Oklahoma, Kansas, or Missouri.(Near the Joplin area) please let me know. Lana |

| Hey Brenda...thanks for the thanks and thanks also for being a careful, considerate adoptive mama. Whatever pup manages to find it's way to you will be a lucky kid indeed. I am truly enjoying your novellas, keep 'em coming.

| Ya.. Stacy is something, isn't she?! I am actually waiting for her coming litter and I am very excited about it. It is so rare to find such a wonderful breeder. I also did a lot of calling and emailing local breeders. Some didn't ask about my living or/and family situation, but some did. Then some who asked me questions were almost in the way to investigate so much and make judgement...Hard to explain.. but someone who is a bit snobby.. I didn't click with anyone in MA. Then I saw this ONE POST that Stacy wrote, then I felt the click. Yes I got a lucky. I don't know how it happens, but if you keep looking and doing research, I bet you can find someone very good. I also think the same for a pup... you have the "click" or a "doubt." Being patient is so difficult... I bet you will feel down once a while when you wait. But... I think you would be proud of yourself and would be really happy after. THat is what I think. I would rather wait than just giving up and going for someone whom you don't feel so good about. I also think that you should find someone whom you can keep in touch in case you need some advice or help. Stacy lives about 7 hrs away from me by a car. I went to visit her to just get to know her. It was a great time for me to see if I had a right person as she must have evaluated me .. and I think that is important. So anyway.. good luck... and just be careful not to get scammed! I will wish you best. I have been preparing for a day and waiting for my future pup since last September... so. I think I can understand how you feel! Good LUck to you!
