my boyfriend told me he didnt like yorkies , dont think he had had anything to do with one really but then he met mine and with in an hour he was calling himself daddy :D what do your partners think of your little ones? or if your a man who has a yorkie has anyone ever asked you why you have one? :)

well my husband loves mine. :)

I wish I could say my hubby "loved" Kloey, but before I got her he was against getting her at the time. I had lost my job due to my Doberman accident, so I was unemployed at the time, and my husband's thought was that I should have been out looking for a job instead of looking for a Yorkie, but my heart was broken after my accident and I used finding Kloey to help put me at peace and it worked! After I found Kloey I felt I was healed, I have a great job now but when he see's Kloey, he see's Kloey different then I see her. I really don't know what to do about it because I see my future with more Yorkies and I don't know if he does. :(

My husband loves Yorkies! Cali is the 3rd we've had togther. He wanted a Pom after my last yorkie Gracie died and we got Maya the Pom from hell, and within 1 year he was like we are only getting Yorkies from now on.

I'm a guy, I have a yorkie and I love her tons. So I guess that counts :)

My Husband loves mine as much as I do. I was afraid he wouldnt like the girl as well since I dress her frilly but he loves it and thinks she is darling dressed up.

My hubby LOVES Surfie, Tiki, and he crazy about our new little Kona Kitty. When he gets home he kisses them before me, big goof.....

I never had a yorkie growing up.... I had a German and a pomeranian and shih tzus. When my pomeranian died at 16 years old...... I was crushed and didn't want another dog. My husband didn't like my pom cause she was my girl and she growled at him. I met him after I've had my pom for years. So I thought he hated dogs. Well..... after a while of being dogless..... I really was ready to get one. I wanted a maltese and my husband pushed and pushed for a yorkie! And the truth was... I wanted my husband to bond with my baby so I got a yorkie! I've never looked back! And my husband loves all my dogs now. I did get a maltese later on but now we are a house of 6 furbabies and it's great. My husband doesn't take care of them the way I do but he loves them. So he has no problem with a house full of yorkies now!

Ollie is our third yorkie. After we lost our last one, he cried as hard as I did and would give me no peace until I found another one.

I am a guy and I have 5 Yorkies .

I guess I am alone here but my fiancee has a love/hate relationship with Nikko. Sometimes he loves him to death and other times he gets annoyed by him. :rolleyes: I think nikko feels the same way because sometimes he snaps at him and other times he smothers my fiancee with doggie kisses. Nikko is very possessive with me and I think he is jealous of my fiancee. I think my fiancee is jealous of Nikko too. I guess I must be a pretty special girl to have two boys fighting over her attention. :D

My husband loves our Stormy just as much as I do.

My b/f isn't an animal person. He had a german shepard as a teen, but after she died, he didn't want any more pets because he was so sad about it. when we first started talking we thought we wouldn't last because he doesn't like animals. But the minute he met Coco, he was in love. Granted he still thinks sometimes I go overboard with her (big birthday party..lol) he loves her. He even got her a valentines day card, a mushy one and he wrote in it that she won him over. He wants to get her a little playmate in the future and he's great at helping me take care of her.

my husband was adament about NOT wanting a puppy, least of all a little one like a yorkie. he thinks they're dirty, not cute when they're grown, messy, high maintenance, will ruin the carpet, will ruin the furniture (especially his speakers!!! gasp!!!) too much work, etc etc. that was then...

this is now... hubby always wants to hold the lead whenever we go on walks. he greets bunjee before he greets me when he gets home. he was all sad when i took bunjee to be neutered 'cause he though it would be nice to have other little bunjees in the house. he was all disappointed when bunjee would prefer to follow me around the condo but not him. he was all estatic when he had a breakthrough and bunjee finally responded to his "come" commands this past week.

so yeah... guys may "say" they don't like yorkies. but yorkie's will break the the guys down eventually. who can say no to a cute little furry face!

I have 4 Yorkie girls , 8 puppies . I really love them .

My husband has a little love hate relationship with my Bunny.. he loves her till she chews up his army leather stuff.

when I was 1st potty training her, he would play with her and love on her!! Well till she peed on the carpet then he got up set.

He "says" he is more of a cat person, but why would he to get me to get a nother one? My husband is a biscuit.. all hard a tuff on the out side and soft on the inside. Thats why I love him :luvu: :wub: :2hearts2: :hearts-xx

my boyfriends x wife has a yorkie, i guess he likes them, sometimes i think he doesnt like lexi and i yell at him... i always have to tell him.. please say hello to her when he comes over.. he better like her or he would be out the door as fast as he came in.. i tell him allthe time if you want me, you better want her too.. and thats that...

well I'm glad my husband is not the only one with the yorkie attitude! I tell my hubby, she makes me happy and I would think that if she makes me happy that would make you happy!

My boyfriend was very unaccepting when I first got Kelsey. He didn't want me to "waste my money on a dog" and he was just mad at me at the time b/c i didn't really have the money and I got her anyway..But NOW...he calls himself "Daddy" and is forever asking me how she's doing, what she's doing, if she went #1 and #2 when I take her potty it's so funny! So he has changed his ways..thank god! :D

Well this is my first post....and I have to say that my hubby ADORES Schatzi! He plays with her endlessly, and she usually cuddles up with him at night. A few days ago she dashed across the street when I opened the door, and I caught her right before a truck ran her over. My hubby got teary when I told him we almost lost her.....so anyway, yes, my guy loves his baby :)

Hubby was SOOO mad when I got my first yorkie...then again, I didn't ask his input, just went and got him. Hubby was REALLLLY mad when I got my second yorkie...once again, didn't ask him what he thought of it. Have puppies...a whole new guy. He gets on the floor and plays with them. Now, to ask him, he doesn't like them but I know better when he pets them, talks to them...when he thinks I'm out of the room!

I get the "Why don't you get a real dog" all the time, but I'm so far gone over Yorkies that it doesn't bother me for a second. Besides, the people who tease me can't stop playing with him when I bring him around.

Of course, all you have to do to shut them up is ask them about the size of their big dog's turds and how much fun it is cleaning up their yard.

He gets no respect in obedience classes either, but by the end of the 8 weeks, he's everybody's favorite, including the instructor's.

My husband and 2 adult age sons LOVE Shelby. She is the one that gets all the hello and goodbye kisses around here.

My husband is out of town and he called last night to tell me how much he misses Shelby.

Then he added "oh yeah, I miss you too." :rolleyes:

My x husband was against getting a yorkie, he said that if I got a yorkie then he would get a snake so that it would eat the yorkie (see why I divorced him, he's mean!!) But then one day I came home from work and he had been calling around all day trying to find a yorkie for me and we drove 2 hours away to get Gracie. He fell in love with her at first glance and they were inseparable!!!

:woof: Ok.... Here's what happened with my boyfriend and I

I wasn't really into yorkies. I thought they were cute and liked all breeds of dog but favored the larger breeds. My boyfriend was very adament about a yorkie, he stated that he had grown up with one and wanted another one since the last was long gone. Well Since I didn't hate yorkies and relationships are all about compromise, I decided to make an exception and begin looking on the internet for them. I came across Nextdaypets and found our little Tigger. We weren't looking at getting a dog for awhile, but just looking at little five week old Tigger melted my heart and when he came home I begged and pleaded and finally won him over. I had to work that day so he said he'd think about it and then called me at work and asked me to pick a number (1 or 2). I asked if it had anything to do with the dog I pointed out and he said, I believe, Yes. He may have said maybe. I then asked if the dog I pointed out was one of the two he was looking at again he said yes. I said one and then he tried to keep it a secret, but when my curiousity comes into play I found out what It is, then a few weeks later Tigger came home. On the website she listed him as not being able to come home for another few weeks, But my boyfriend talked her into letting us get her a week early. He was going to drive to OK meet the breeder and get the dog that day and then have it waiting for me when I got home from work. But I spoiled the surprise, but was eagerly waiting to go home to see our precious.

Needless to say, Tigger has completly won me over. I still love big dogs, but oh my goodness Yorkies are the best. What a total cuddlebunny.

My hubby really didnt want me to get a yorkie :eek: we already had a dog a lab ie a mans dog zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
But now.... he tells all the men who say the same thing about yorkies not being a mans dog .....get one shes the best thing since sliced bread.
