| ![]() And I was beginning to think that my evil wee was a whopper at 6.5 lbs and dougal was just a freakish throwback at 16.5lbs. ![]() It's great to see all these other whopper pups ![]() I agree whopper pups are the best for super hugs. ![]() ![]() ![]() Dougal was the largest of his litter and is a clear kg (2.2lbs) heavier than his dad was. And he's not a chubby bubby cos I've been working on getting his weight down for agility. (he put on a kg after being neutered - he's a comfort eater like his mum lol!) I think he's quite handsome and muscly. He has still got his tail and I wouldn't have it any other way - someone was commenting about tails earlier. I took the dougal baby to the beach today so here are some pics of him with a golden retriever we met at the beach to give some idea of perspective. I don't really care what size my babies are as long as they are healthy. Although I am tempted to get dougal's NZKC papers laminated carry them with me where ever I go cos everyone we meet is incredulous that he's a yorkie - especially since he got his groovy schnauzer hair do! Let's keep this thread going - yay for plus size puppies! ![]() ![]()

| ![]() This is my first post on YT and I'm so happy to see this thread. My Yorkie is a retired breeder and is about 16 lbs. She is beautiful and so laid back. I live close to the breeder who has both large and small registered yorkies, and I have found that the larger ones are calmer with less excitable temperaments. They don't seem to bark at everything either. After reading a lot of threads on YT for the past few weeks, I was beginning to think that the majority of YT'rs were so standard conscious that there was no room for the rest of us. That's great for those who are interested in showing, but most are not.Glad to see all of you who appreciate the "bigger" yorkies. By the way, Kourtney has had beautiful pups and they are all in loving homes with very happy owners who wanted larger "teapots". |

| ![]() Hey girls, I got a big one and a little one too! Teddy is around 4 to 5 lbs...Haven't weighed him in a while and Tiffy was just weighed @ the vet a few Saturdays age and weighed 11.6 lbs. and I 'bout fell off my chair! I knew she was bigger yeah she was pregnant then but I bet she is between 9 to 10 lbs now. When I was trying to train her to walk with a harness on oh man U should of seen her pulling me...Really! See when we got Teddy @ 6 weeks old he just weighed 1 & 1/2 lbs...Well we got Tiffy @ around 2 months old (Tiffy is 2 months older then Teddy!) she weighed 3 lbs...So I kinda thought oh my she's gonna be big...I ask the lady we brought her off of...U sure she isn't a baby wrotwhiler? She had NO looks like Teddy..She had flat silky hair, not curly like Teddy, big all over! But let me tell U Teddy can still get her when they play together..He nails her at her thighs!! LOL! Really he does...It's cute to see her fall to the ground of a dog so little...Man it makes her mad when he does it. Another thing I've noticed...Is that most of the bigger dogs shown here has the same kind of hair that Tiffy has...NOW please tell me is Tiffy wirey/curly or Silky??? I have NO idea really...He papers says she is blue and gold...What her seller marked... Her skin looks blue...Well now that Teddy is older his skin...If U pull his hair back looks blue too...But I put on his papers that he was black and tan....U all are gonna beat me for this...But I'm just now sending in for their papers...I know, I know! I should of already done it but I just didn't...Kill me now or later! Sorry...I hope we can get them...I have to send them off in the mail (Haven't yet...Keep telling husband everyday I need a check to get them their papers, he keeps forgetting it!) for it and I know that will take time...To be truthful...I never in a million years dreamed Tiffy would get pregnant by Teddy...He was so short compared to her...Oh he tried but I kept sayin' he didn't get her pregnant and the whole time my husband kept saying she is gonna have puppies!!!!!! Well they both fooled me...This is our 1st ever batch of babies and I don't know if I can let them go...I'm so attached now... I come in and just watch them all the time...It's so sweet how they move, whine, eat cuddle each other and mommy...I love each of them to peices! Well here I am...Just call me WINDY!!! I get on this fourm I can't get off! I'm off work tomorrow so I'm gonna try to get something going with more photos...And I have names for all our babies now... Oh I know the new owners will change them, but we could do scrapbooking without names! Hugs and I love all the bigger and yes the tiny and inbetween Yorkees! | ![]() I loved this thread and loved looking at all the pictures. Jasmine is small at 5 lbs, but we kept my granddaughter Yorkie, Murphy for several months. He is back with Tori, his mama now and they are both very happy to be together again. When she first got Murhpy, we wondered if he was all Yorkie. His hair was very short and kind of wiry feeling. His ears wouldn't stand up and he was a lot bigger. Well you should see him now at 10 months. She brought him over to visit my two last night. His hair has really grown and is getting really thick (much thicker than Jasmine's) He's more the reddish and black color. His ears are up. (Not that it matters, I think the floppy ears are cute but Tori wanted them up) He is getting beautiful. He is bigger though. She hasn't weighed him but I would guess he is at least 10 lbs. She said people are always saying "that is the biggest Yorkie, I've ever seen" I told Tori to come to this site and look at the pictures. He is a beautiful Yorkie and definitely full blood and he has a beautiful sweet personality. Why don't people realize a 10 lb dog is not a big dog. My Westie at 25 lbs is bigger than most Westie's but he's gorgeous and I love him so who cares. |

| ![]() Baxter on the left - 12 lbs. Snickers on the right - 9 lbs. You can really see the difference in size when they're nose to nose. ![]()
