You didn't break that contract. You stayed ready to receive your puppy and pay the remaining amount that you owed.

She broke the contract (even if it was a verbal contract). She did not fulfill her part of the contract. She did not present you with a puppy.

I am sure (if you have any records at all - dates, what was said, E-mails, phone calls, etc...as detailed as you can get ) -- you can go to small claims court and get your deposit back - as well as any other expenses you may have incurred - phone calls, etc.

I think the woman you are dealing with is a low-life crook....the scum of the earth!!!!! I have absolutely no respect for people like her. I think they should be charged with criminal activity and be fined and spend time in jail.

Just listen to me!!!! I can't tell you how mad I'd be.

I hope you live reasonably close to her. I think you should be reimbursed for any time off work and any travel expenses you incure taking her to court also.

Thanks Carol! I've expressed to her that I don't throw away money. And if I get my puppy I have not arguments, but she has not "produced" a puppy, nor has she contacted me since. I didn't back out of the contract. I want my puppy! LOL!

I wonder how many others gave her a deposit for a puppy they have not gotten. sounds like she may be running some big scam. she could have gotten any where from 600 to 1200 in just deposits for both dogs. if it was just the issue of losing the other puppies seems like she would be staying on top of it after you paid your deposit.

I just thought of something....I wouldn't want a pup from this shady woman! Try your best to get your money back. Threaten her with a lawsuit. When you get your money (or before if you prefer) speak to Chachi and go with a reputable breeder. Forget this woman! If she has a shady practice, she might be selling sick pups!

GOOD POINT!!!! Don't let her get away with this! If everyone said, "Oh, it's just $200," she might be getting everyone! Please call her and tell her you're going to sue if you don't get your money back (as I said prior...I wouldn't want her pup now). Tape record the call if you can. Please don't let this slide. I know it's gonna be hard work, but at least you can get a bad breeder off the street. And even if she is "so called" reputable, I don't care how wonderful her puppies are...they can have 24K gold blood running through their little bodies...that doesn't mean she shouldn't give you your money back if a pup has a misscarriage. That's just ridiculous. Do you see how po-ed I'm getting? Grrrrrr! Please let us know how this all works out. Good luck!
