| Please bring her inside with you..After all of your love and kindness, it would be tragic if she died outside alone and cold. You may have a hard time dealing with guilt if that happens...I know I would. My prayers go out to you and your Flossie

| I would encourage you to call your vet immediately to see if you can get someone out to your house to end Flossie's suffering. I would bet you could get someone, and it is always best if they pass at home, rather than in a vet's office. Please try to do that, and just stay with her to ease her journey. |

| I am so very sorry. I will be thinking about you and Flossie. I know this is painful and I pray that you can find the strength to get through this.

| Oh, poor old girl! Her last night with her family should be filled with love and contentment. I don't know if it's cold where you are but could you clean her up outside with buckets of warm water and bring her in? My heart aches to think of her outside alone and incontinent. I have an elderly collie who is failing and I feel for you both. Julie |

| It's 9:30 here and I have heard the cries from Flossie all afternoon. I am going to bring her in...probably for her last night. I feel that she is truly crying out to me right now. Her organs have to be shutting down now. She can't even poop. I have been waiting for a true and final sign and I think I now see it. Thanks to all! |

| Kerri, I am in tears probably with you, not for you. Please spend tonight holding Flossie, she needs you. Maybe you will be blessed and she will simply slip off into her eternal sleep. Sending hugs..... |

| omg. its so hard to read this. i feel so bad, i know how you feel. you wish you could do something for her to make the pain go away. the only thing you can do is with a warm cloth wipe her coat and just cuddle her on her last night. make sure she knows you are there for you. i remember reading that post a few weeks back. make this last night to remember. its hard to let go but its the best thing. prayers going out to you and flossie. she will be happier in rainbow bridge... bless flossie and you

| Ok, it's late (for me anyway) and I'm going to try and clean Flossie up. She is screaming for help right now and I have to give myself a bit of satisfaction at this point. She needs to be inside as always and I have to make her comfortable. I know it is not fair to keep her outside because she is covered in feces. I am on my way to clean her up the best I can now. |

| Just an update... Flossie is so miserable right now that I wrapped her in a blanket and put her in my laundry room...that is where she always sleeps...she is more comfortable now. I did not give her a bath because I think that will make matters worse... I petted her and talked to her. Is it bad of me to hope she passes in her sleep? I do not want to make the decison of putting her away! She is part of mother's spirit!!! |

| Maybe a warm bath will soothe her? Animals do like to be clean and it would help her dignity. I really think it might help relax her. I do hope she slips away in her sleep. Julie |

| Its a good caring thing that you would like her to pass in her sleep. That is the best way for her to go I think. I know that she is part of your moms spirit, but your mom may want to have her there with her.

| I never had to take care of my Mom because she died in her sleep. I truly feel that Flossie has stayed with me to be an ANGEL. She has come to her final end and I have to realize that she can't be miserable. She has looked after me long enough! I just wish I could keep her forever! |
