First of all ALWAYS ask for references! References for the vet they use and people they have actually placed a puppy with! NEVER purchase a puppy from someone that does everything via email and does not even speak to you! If it is a breeder that is looking for the right home for their puppy she/he will let you take your time deciding if this puppy is right for you.. THEY WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO PAY THROUGH PAYPAL OR OVERNIGHT A CASHIERS CHECK TO THEM! I believe there are many reputable breeder on the internet, but you just have to do your HOMEWORK and NEVER jump into buying a dog overnight.. If the breeder is a good breeder they will NEVER ask you to jump into this decision either! Also always make sure you check with the breeders suspension list with AKC!

Another thing about buying a puppy without seeing them is sometimes the "personality thing". One can't tell how the puppy acts from looking at a picture obviously, and sometimes their little personalities are very important.
At least, it's something to think about............
