| Colour question I hope someone can tell me if this is normal: my baby is 16 weeks old, shes colouring very well on the head, she doesnt look bald or anything, its full on the head and body, but now i was brushing her in daylight on the couch by the window and i noticed that her hair on her back is starting to colour too... is it not too early for that yet?? this puzzles me! i know theres a lot of "coat"experienced ppl on here any idea ? Thank you

| No its not to early for a beginning coat change. In my experience with early coat change on the back my adult dogs are now a dilute blue, more silvery then blue. |

| She still looks the same as in my avatar, her face is going lighter in there too, her colours are black/tan going grey on the head and now starting to go slightly grey on her back... the skin on her back looks blue'ish and her tummy is a normal flesh colour... Does this make any sense? Thank you for the replies

| Maybe someone else could say if this is true but a breeder friend of mine says if their skin is blue colored on their back, their adult color will be a true blue, the best coat coloring......????????? |

| She will probably go light. Breaking color early usually lends to a lighter blue or silver color. The flesh color should be bluish on the saddle (back) and pinkish/flesh tone on the head and where the gold should be. Sounds like she will be her Dams color. |
