| Barking. Help! Okay I just got my little Dylan last week and everything is going really good! He is getting the whole potty thing and I was really surprised about that. The problem we are running into is my husband isn't really a big dog lover although he has really taken to Dylan it almost like he can sense something with my husband. He starts barking at him. He isn't really a barker. People come in the house or ring the doorbell and he doesn't bark. He can see other dogs outside and he doesn't bark. So it is really strange. I have read some past posts and different sites and it says to ignore him when he barks but it is hard not to say NO. Any advise? I have had my husband pet him and talk to him but every time he sees him again he starts the barking. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

| Get rid of the Husband? Seriously Maybe Dylan isn't used to men. I would have your husband give him special treats.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | is your husband getting down to Dylan's level or towering over the puppy? He shoud, maybe, get down on the floor and give the puppy a special treat or toy when ever he comes home. |

| Thanks Thanks for the info I will give it a try. My husband is a big guy with a deep vioce so I could see where little Dylan would get nervous.

| My dog doesn't bark much - but when he does - I pick him up and hold him and tell him "No no no." He usually quits barking when I hold him (guess he doesn't want to get in trouble.) Anyway - have your husband pick him up, hold him, and tell to quit barking everytime he does it. He may bark less. Good luck! Carol Jean |
