| I'm a Sinner Too.... I use Redken Extreme Anti-Snap leave in conditioner after I bath her, I also have a spray bottle with a watered down version that I use in between bath times. Zoey coat is coming in great, We have not had a big problem with mats or tangles. The only time I seem to have problems is it I put her in a sweater. The Cotton Tees don't tangle her up to much just the sweaters for some reason, but heck I'm in Texas and she only will wear sweaters a few weeks out of the year. Here is the info on the Anti-Snap product; A scientific breakthrough, our 3D Repair Complex builds long-lasting strength and conditioning into hair leaving it healthier and more manageable. It is specially formulated to provide a triple line of defense: Proteins penetrate deep into the core of the hair helping build internal strength. Ceramide enters the cuticle layers to reinforce the structure and help repair damaged areas Natural Lipids, like those found in the hair, help resurface the hair leaving the cuticle shiny, smooth and protected. Blah Blah Blah, all I know is it works for us. I haven't tried the CC products yet, I'm still thinking about ordering them. I hear great things about it. Do you think maybe a different product from the same line might work better on your fur baby? Kelly Zoeys Mommy |

Aw!!!!! Thanks for the info!!!!! And I love anti snap on my hair! I am a hairdresser myself! And whe I 1st brought Luigi home, my vet told me to NOT use human shampoos! I did once, but she scared the crap out me saying that it would dry thier skin out and all that good stuff! So I never used it again. But I think I may give it a try again! I don't have this issue with my other Brasco! He has the BEST coat ever! Soooo smooth and soooo silky! And he has never had one matt on his fur or knot! Thanks!

| Well if your a hairdresser I don't need to tell you how great the products are. I use it myself too. I am one of those people always doing something to my hair, coloring and highlighting. I really need that anti-snap...lol! It would be fried without it. Kelly Zoeys Mommy |

I've heard it's a no no too but I find that Pantene conditioner works greate. It leaves Gus's hair shiny and softer than anything else I've ever used on him. And in the summer we spend alot of time in the pool so I use the leave in conditioner on the both of us after a dip.

| I spoke with a pet groomer about using human products on dogs, and she says that they use human products all the time in their shop which is not in PetSmart, but is in the back of a modern feed store with a setup kinda like PetSmart. She said that the modern human products are now so natural and pH balanced that they do no harm to dogs. I hope she's right. Personally, I use the human stuff sparingly, just because my Zoe is so tiny & I'm afraid she may react differently than larger dogs, but thought I'd post this information for those who may be interested. |

| Luckily, my Yorkie never tangles, but one of my Mom's malteses had to be kept short because of constant matting even though she brushes them everyday. She started using a shampoo and conditioner called Maltese Secret she buys from www.malteseonly.com/cart. It has made quite a difference in her coat and is recommended for cottony coats. They also sell the dental product life for teeth. |

| Well the pantene certainly should work. It makes my hair so soft and silky I can't do anyt hing with it. I always kept my late yorkie in a puppy cut, in the summer. I think it truley makes them look like puppies. |

| Human shampoos are fine for yorkies. The only problem is they sting their eyes unlike dog shampoo so just be careful not to get it in their eyes. It might be possible to brush out the matts while the dog is wet and soaking in conditioner. I'd give it a try before giving up and cutting him short, although if it doesn't help continue to brush him daily until the grooming appointment because the tighter those matts get the shorter he will have to be cut.

| God gave me a Yorkie with silk hair (never tangles). He did this to make up for the Bichon he gave me. Have you ever tried combing a sheep (with twice the hair that a sheep has)???? Carol Jean |

| Muffie has worn a "modified Schnauzer cut" for years and it's so easy to brush. Here is a picture of her in that cut:
