| pls help can someone please help me i'm freaking out!! i just got thru taking coco's tape off his ears. friend taped them for me. because i was not having any luck. and i guess when she taped them his ear wasn't "flat" on the base she created. she made the base (thick construction paper) a v shape his ears aern't standing. now the tip of the ear is curving up a little at the end and there is a little indent on the left side of the ear on the outside. what in the world should i do. now i'm going crazy, overwhelming guilt for not just leaving his ears alone and just letting them go up naturally. has anyone else had this happen with taping? pls. help! |

| Don't worry! I wanted Romeo's ears to stand so badly I began taping them as soon as I got him. The 2nd time I replaced the tape I created a curve on the outside of his ear. I freaked out too. Then I left them alone because I felt so bad because he hated it so badley and in 2 weeks or so, they popped right up!!! I just massaged them every day, mostly when he was sleeping at night. One morning we woke up and they were just standing. The ears go up and down all throughout the teething process. I'm sure everything will be fine!!! Let us know!! Jen and Romeo |

| I've been lazy to tape my yorkie's ears and now at 7 months, only one stands up well. Is there any hope for my dog? Is there anything I can do at this point?

| I know how you feel! I wanted to cry because he hated the tape so much in the first place and then I went and messed up his ear!! But all I did was leave the tape off and massage his ears and they perked right up one morning....Just keep the hair on the tips shaved so it doesnt weigh the ears down. |

| Stewie's stood up one morning after massaging the tips. He was older, too -- almost 5 mos. I recommend trying it.

| they dont look bad just have to tape them again I will tape mine and post a pic tomorrow showing you an easy tape...since I dont have 4 of them tearing each others out I find the tape easier for me but the glue is easier for them but needs to be replaced too often... I promise Ill take a pic in the am and post it for you

| taping here is dreamer taped...he's the little boy and his ears are being stubborn. He doesnt leave for his new home till the end of April so I have some time. as I said before the glue and paper sack worked great but curled too much needing to be replaced too often so I went back to the masking tape. simply cut a piece the size shown and lay the ear FLAT then fold the tape over to cover the entire ear.. Dreamers are better but one is still a bit lazy so I am keeping them taped a bit longer. Key is to be persistant! hope this helps
