| Update on Daisy and the vet.... (here is what I posted earlier today in sick and injured..... ...."well all of a sudden just now, daisy walked into my room, and went limp on the ground! Didn't pass out, just went real limp. Took me about 3 minutes to get her to stand on her own. Tried giving her some water, but wouldn't take it (but ate fine earlier) after standing still for about 3 more minutes (not ocming to me or anything) she threw up. Didn't notice anything in it really but her food. Now she seems better, is walking around and such. Im wondering if maybe she ate something that bothered her stomach (i have to stay SUPER on top of things around here with my boys always dropping something on the floor!) She's alittle out of sorts right now...not sure what I should do? Im gonna call the vet and ask them what to watch out for......I hate to take my son out who has croup to the vet, but will if needed. Ive just never experienced this and it scared me to death!......" OK so I did rush her into the vet..that going limp and lethargic unresponsive thing really scared me!! She was much more alert by the time I got there (vet is 30 mins away) They took her temp, didn't have one. Asked me what happened. Then they checked her blood sugar, totally normal. Took some more blood and is sending it off to the lab, will have results mid day tomorrow. Doesn't think its anything "medical" Thinking she perhaps ate something that gave her this reaction. Possibly a spider or something? I have no idea why as I watch her while outside on the leash..but you never know! I have to be EXTRA careful keeping the floors cleaned up of things she could eat. She also has lost a few more ounces. When I brought her home in November she was 5.2. A few weeks after that (eating wet food) was 5.12 3 weeks ago was 5.7 Today was 5.3 So Im gonna start mixing some wet food in with her Candiae. She is fine right now, just seems a bit tired...but keeping a close eye on her. I was nervous becasue I had to get some groceries when i left the house, but did't want to leave her in the car, or bring her home alone and go back out, so the vet kept her for a while when I ran to the store!! Anyway, so taht is where we are at. Once I have the blood results I'll post again __________________

| I sure hope she is OK - I'm wondering if the limpness might have been a reaction to getting ready to throw up. It sounds extreme, but maybe it was some sort of vagal response preliminary to the throwing up episode. Who knows - hopefully the blood work will all be normal and there will be no more episodes like this. I can't imagine how scared I would be. Hugs to you and your bably!

| Thanks everyone! She was fine last night and this morning, just a little more sleepy than usual last night. Vet said they'd call around lunch time with results, so I'll post then!
