| Thanks so much I have been reading since I posted this new thread & although I must say I'm a little nervous from reading all the new mommy syndrome posts I'm definitely going to make sure I get my baby when the time is right, although I do have a question, I work from 8-5pm mon-friday & live just close enough to come home in the middle of the day to come home let the out for a few minutes & then it's back to work will this be ok? Is crate time good for this time I will be at work? HELP I just don't want to not get a dog because I work! |

| WELCOME TO YT!! you are so lucky to have found YT prior to getting you baby! there is sooo much useful info here- im sure all your questions will be answered, and those that can't, just post a thread and members who can help will join in. as for you other question, i work 40 hours a week and while its great when the check comes, it's hard to feel like im ever giving my baby enough attention...but even i spent 24 hours a day with him, id prob feel the same regardless. Both of my parents are retired and are THE biggest help with Siri while im at work. its great that you can come home to visit on lunches- i wish i could do that!! it is def not impossible to have a yorkie and work- otherwise half of YT would prob end up homeless!! Just make sure you get you baby at a time in your life when you are 100% ready and willing to make a full time commitment. id even suggest taking vacation time when you decide to bring your baby home to help both of you get used to eachother :] they are like total children- they want 110% of your attention 200% of the time :] best of luck and keep us posted on your search!

| Welcome! And I think you will be fine with owning a Yorkie and working 40 hours a week. Just keep in mind that training will take a lot longer then normal, and for most Yorkies, they are already hard to potty train. You can search for different topics by using the search button on the top tool bar, its on the right hand side. You can search for things like exercise pens, crate training... etc I think all Yorkie puppy owners should invest in an excerise pen, with a crate, food, toys, and pee pads in it. I wouldnt leave a puppy in a crate for that whole time, until they get older, because they can't hold their potty and would be forced to sit in it. Where is the thread about what questions to ask a breeder when looking for a puppy? You may be able to find it under search.
