yeah moose will tell kelsey all about the mean ole collar and how mean her mommy was for buying it, if she sees it out she starts baking at it like a mad woman.

* UPDATE *

Well, Kelsey just got spayed yesterday and had to stay overnight

I called about 5 x's to make sure everything was ok w/ her.

My boyfriend went to pick her up this morning from the vet and took her back home. She isn't liking the cone thing so Im buying an inflatable collar from PetCo today called: Pro Collar. Hopefully it fits her better and is a lot more comfortable! The othe one they gave us doesnt fit her, she can just shake it off! Anyway, the experience went well, but they overcharged me for the dental work I had them do. I had them clean her teeth and they said it'd cost $20 and they charged $100! So Im going to go there tomorrow and complain. (my boyfriend paid for me believe me if i paid i would've noticed!). So anyway, I haven't seen my baby yet but I will when I get out of work! I have all weekend to spend with her and take care of her. I am so anxious to see her! I miss her so much and I know she misses me too!

I went to Hallmark and got her a "get well soon" card it's so cute. I know she can't read but I will read it to her and save it for her scrapbook. And I also got her some new, soft babies to play (gently) with.

She's so spoiled! Pray for a safe and fast recovery for my baby! And I will update you all soon....

Hope you and Kelsey feel better soon. The first 24 hours are the most difficult so you might be surprised at how peppy she is by the time you see her. The worst part is keeping them quiet for 10 days...no jumping on furniture.

Haha she is playing and barking as usual my bf says...so we'll see. She is very hyper so it's going to be very hard trying to make her calm down and stuff..Thanks for the words of wisdom! Have a great weekend!

buy a human baby onsie. cut a place for the tail. i put them on backwards so it snaps on the top just above the tail. believe me it is better than having something annoying around the neck. they are more comfy and it protects them from getting to the stitches. glad to hear she did good.

Kelsey is doing wonderful. My boyfriend picked me up from work Friday and suprised me with Kelsey in the car. She was all cuddled up on the seat in her blankie, very lathargic and sleepy. But she was so excited to see me! It made me feel great! I spent all weekend with her taking care of her. She doesnt like her medication at all. Poor thing..but she's taking it like a champ. She didn't have a bowel movement for 2 days and finally she started on Saturday. She isn't showing any signs of pain, but sleeping a lot. Her incision looks good...she hasn't bothered with it much. and Isn't really jumping around like normal, so that's one less thing to worry about. I have to go back to the vet and get them removed soon. I have been using onsies and she's doing great with them and is comfortable. I appreciate everyone's concern and thoughts! Kelsey has been so spoiled these past few days and can't wait to play outside when she recovers.

I can't wait to go home and see her after work, I already miss my baby!

Gucci had a hernia repair a couple of weeks ago, She hated that ecollar. She looked so pitiful. She was back to normal the second day. I had to try to keep her calm, she was playing like crazy and she wasnt supposed to be running or jumping.

Aww poor baby! Im sorry to hear that! Those collars are no fun. Kelsey was able to wiggle it right off...or maybe I wasn't doing it right? Im returning it and getting my money back. I am just using the onsies and they do the trick.

The weird thing is, as soon as I unsnap the buttons of her onsie she goes straight for her private area and starts licking it like crazy! Im starting to think she thinks that it's her privates that hurt and not her incision? She doesnt even seem to notice the incision! lol She's so silly. Anyway,
I hope your baby is ok and heals soon!

Thanks everyone!

Kelsey is acting her normal self latley..last night for the first time she was barkin and playing on my bed and I would throw her soft ball in the air on the bed and she'd catch it..she's so cute. It's nice to see her playing and stuff. She is still sleepy after I give her the medicine..I think it makes her drowsy...hm..I am not horse playing around though b/c her stitches are still in until March 8th. Kelsey appreciates all the kisses and concern. She's doing wonderful.

Hi I am a newbie!! My little Zoey is being spayed tomorrow and it has been great reading all about recovery. I am so nervous. The vet wants Zoey in between 7 am and 8 am and said that I could probably pick her up at about 2 pm. My little Zoey got traumatized after being groomed. She wasn't herself for 4 hours after grooming. I can't imagine how she will feel after surgery. I will be leaving work early to wait for her by 2 pm. Zoey is 8 months and 5 pounds. She is also getting 4 of her canine baby teeth removed.
