| Types Of Cuts I don't think I want Missy's hair to grow out long. Can you post some pictures of different kinds of cuts for Yorkies and tell me what the name of the cut is? Thanks!

| I am not sure of the "names" for each cut. Schatzie just had a short puppy cut a few weeks ago. I just asked our groomer to make her an inch or two all over and round out her face. Her cut has been so easy to manage and she stays "fluffy, soft, and nice" looking soooo much longer than when she had her stringy long hair. This will be her cut for life now.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Schatzie is so cute in a short cut ! The ones I know about are the puppy cut and similar to Schatzie's cut....I've had Chanel cut short and I really don't know what they called it....I just called it hilarious....but she did think she was pretty cute with short hair and so did I. A good way to find a cut you like is looking at peoples pictures or albums...and print it up and take it with you to the groomer when you find a style you like |

| I picked up a magazine at PetSmart on Yorkshire Terriers that has lots of pictures in it of different Yorkies, so you get to see some different cuts. You may find one in there that you like. |

| There is one cut that I definitely wouldn't recommend! The "lion cut". During the Thanksgiving holiday I sent my Yorkie (Lexi) with my husband to the groomer. Her hair/fur had finally reached the floor (she was 1 year old in November). I told my husband to have the groomer even her up, and to do a teddy bear cut on her face. That evening, my husband made up every excuse he could think of to keep me from coming home...dinner, shopping, etc. We finally came home and when Lexi ran to greet me...I just froze...and cried. Lexi was completely shaven, all except her face. For two days I didn't call the groomer because I was afraid of what I would say. Being worried that I would call the groomer, on day three, my husband said he had something to tell me. He said "You know you told me to have the groomer trim her like a teddy bear? Well, I couldn't remember that you said teddy bear, and all I could think of was to cut her like a lion". He said that the groomer even questioned him and he told her that his wife wanted her cut like a lion. And, that is exactly how she looked. Believe me, it has cost my husband dearly. I told him that he would be buying Lexi every outfit that I could find. And, he has! For Valentines Day he bought me a stuffed lion, because he knew that I was so fond of them! |

| I have to figure out how to keep Mitzi's hair short for the summer. I have to try and find something to cut it with and do it myself. I'm so scared!! Anyone got any ideas?
