| I have had both. Poms are beautiful, but the only negative I have about them is that they shed. Yorkies now rule! But, if you check out a Pom site, I am sure the answers will be different. Let us know what you decide.

| That really depends on you. I have Yorkies and I like them best. My sister has Pom and she likes them best. They are both adorable dogs. |

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | We thought of getting a Pom after we lost Cassie, thinking we shouldn't get another yorkie because part of our heart went with Cassie when she left us, and we didn't want to compare a new one to her. Well, we decided on another Yorkie and love her dearly, she has her very own personality and are so happy we did get her. Cassie will always hold a very special place in our heart and our memory. We are looking to get another yorkie in future, Jack has progressive Parkinsons and as time goes by he will need more and more of my care, so, we have decided to get another yorkie to help with keeping Baby Blessing company when that time should come. I personally think they are one of the most loving ( plus every magnificant word there is in the dictionary) best of luck to you in what ever breed you choose and may you have many many joyful years with your fur baby. Kind Regards, Patti and Jack and Baby Blessing |

YT 3000 Club Member | MY girlfriend has a pom and she has an attitude and she is not very cuddly, maybe its just her I dont know, and you have to keep them combed out. they like to jump alot, its like little pogo sticks. they seem to be more yappy though, hers sure is. |

| Had Poms for 11 years - Now we have Yorkies I hope you haven't become more confused with all of the wonderful opinions and advice you have received here by many Yorkie lovers. Perhaps you know the answer all along right? In your heart? We had 2 Pomeranians for 11 years. They are adorable of course and they are very loving companions. They do shed lots, but when you love your dogs, you deal with it right? When they crossed over the Rainbow Bridge we decided at this moment we couldn't replace our poms with new poms so we decided on the Yorkies. I can't speak too much about Yorkies yet because I am just a new to them myself - but they sure seem very loving! Poms are WONDERFUL but I bet Yorkies are too! I wish you the best in your decision. Hugs, Terra |

| I couldn't make a decision either on a pom or yorkies... I bought a pom kept it I think 2 days and then decided I wanted a yorkie. The lady I bought it from always has a waiting list so it was not a problem to be returned. Poms shed, I have had 2 before and they shed no matter how much you brush. I'm sticking to yorkies and malteses now for housepets. |
