| I am so sorry to hear this. I hope someone took her in for the night, and that she is not caught up in some bushes, etc. There is hope. My friend lost her teenie dachshaund. She just got her back last night, and she was out in the cold for four nights. She put a notice in the newspaper, on garage sale boards, or wherever she could legally nail up signs, she called all vets, and the animal pound in town. Some lady read the ad, and shooed her towards home. This is not a friendly dog. Anyway, the lady called the owner and told her she lost track of her, but to meet her and hope they could get her. Ends up she was hiding in some bushes, and it appears she made a bed in the bushes, and that is where she spent her nights. She was hungry and dehydrated, but the vet said she would be just fine. Please keep us posted, and good luck. My heart goes out to you. Kate

| Oh no Jan...my heart is breaking for you this morning as I read your post. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I swear if I lived closer I'd be at your house this morning helping you search. Please keep up updated, although I know you have much more pressing issues at hand. This wasn't one of your babies that had puppies is she? I will say a prayer for Ida's safe return and for you.

| I picked up a Chihuahua on a weekend and couldn't place a Found Ad. Her mommy was sick with worry. Had she posted a sign she would have had her baby back sooner, but we both placed ads and couldn't get them in until Tuesday so she spent a couple of miserable days. Yes, the puppy should have had tags on, but I'm guilty of not keeping tags on my Yorkie too. Hopefully a good person picked her up. Also, my Yorkie was lost for 2 weeks when I got her back. There is still hope. I will be praying for her safe return. |
