| What's she doing? Layla's doing something weird tonight that she's done a few other times before. I was doing homework and I heard some scratching noises at her bowl, so i looked over and she looked back at me and the noises stopped. Everytime I looked away they would start again. So on closer inspection i see water splashed all over the floor and her face and paws soaked! She's sticking her feet in her bowl and scratching at the bottom! There's nothing in there, I even changed the water for her. Is there a reason for this or does she just want some attention? I just mopped my floor and now there's wet puppy prints everywhere!

HaHa, my gang does the same thing I can be in another room and this strange sounds starts and I wonder what it is and once I start investigating it is usually Moose dragging the bowl across the floor. The bowl is bigger than him.

| My pups do that when they're hungry - there's almost always water in the bowl but when it's dinnertime they'll start pushing the bowl around using one paw to scratch the bowl - haha, it's real cute!

| aww that's cute. I called my mom and asked why she would do it and she was like "maybe she wants food?" and i was like "but her food is right beside the water! she was eating 5 seconds before she started!" sometimes i just think my dog is crazy

| I have read in other posts that a lot of Yorkies like to play in the water in their water bowl. In fact, some Yorkie owners have started using water bottles to stop the mess. Probably, your dog just likes the water. Carol Jean |

| Are you using stainless steel bowls where she can see her reflection? If yes, I recommend switching to plastic bowls where she wouldn't be able too. If you do already use plastic my guess she just likes the water.

| Water Babies My yorkies love to play in the water. In the summer they get baby pools.
