Poor dog can't see! Lucky's hair from her snout sticks straight out over her eyes. We don't want to cut it because then it keeps growing into her eyes. The groomer says that when it grows out completely, the weight will help it to lay down over her nose. What do we do until then? The groomer suggested moustache wax, but it has a strong smell that I am afraid will make Lucky's eyes water. Any other ideas?

Pat, YorkieRose, says to use vaseline to keep it down..maybe that will work. I just keep the facial hair on all of mine cut very short..

| Believe Me She Can See I would be worried about the hairs poking her in the eyes. The vaseline sounds like it might work. Dogs believe it or not can see with hair covering their eyes. Look at Old English Sheepdogs and other types with hair covering their eyes.

I'm there with ya! I don't want to trim the hair between her eyes and it's at that perfect length that it just gets in her eyes and makes them water so much! I was thinking hair gel, but then figured if it got in her eyes it would sting... The vasline is a good idea. I'll have to try that! I wonder if it'll make her look really greasy though.

I've been using the wax the kids use on their hair. Works pretty well and didn't hurt my eyes when I tried it. (Yeah, I tried it on myself.)
