| Im sooooooooo worried!! Hello To All: Well today I noticed something on Miny!! I was bathing her and in the process I also washed her teeth but as I was washing her teeth I noticed that her back tooth on her right side is broken in half..I dont know what to do..Im thinking that she probably broke it while eating hard food..She doesnt even want to eat her hard food at all now and for the past week she has been making these weird noises as if she want to throw up but then doesnt..Im soooooooooo concerned I think Im gonna take her to the Vet. If any of you have the same problem please let me know!! One question I am new to this whole experience so I was wondering are dogs suppose to loose their teeths as human??? Once again thank you!! -Chaz |

| Yep, you need to take her to the vet to check that tooth out. You didn't say how old your Yorkie is but of course they have baby teeth and they lose them just like humans. Many Yorkie's have dental problems and it is important to stay on top of issues with their teeth/gums. Bad teeth/gums can slowly poison their system and many times you won't even know it is going on. So, to be on the safe side I would have your vet look at her teeth.

| You must have one mellow pup there! My pups are 8 months, so I just tried to look at their back teeth and can't get a good look at any. I hope Miny is ok! Bronx had an ear infection and it caused him to eat sorta sideways?? The vet can check that for you, too though

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali is a 7 1/2 months and has retained her baby teeth and her adult teeth are coming in. If I look in the back of her mouth she has what looks like 1/2 teeth in between her baby teeth. They look like they are broken off but they are actually her new teeth. maybe that;s what you are seeing. You may want to have the vet check her out with the weird noises and not eating her hard food as well.

| I think I would consult my vet if I were you and find out what can be done about her teeth. |

| One of my Shelties had a tooth break in half lengthwise. He's a really mellow dog, so he never fussed or stopped eating. I only noticed it because it started to get infected and gave him bad breath. The vet pulled it, and he's been fine ever since. Good thing you caught it early. Good luck!

| Could it be a tooth coming in? Just a thought because I once paniced when i thought Hefner had broken a tooth and it was just his adult tooth coming through the gum line. She is at the age when she is getting her adult teeth. |
