My furkids Donating Member | What do you think? I have a furbaby on order with the breeder that I bought Sadie Mae from. I should be getting her sometime this year. Sadie is now 2 yrs old and the only furbaby in the house (besides her BIG Maine Coon brother, McKenzi) I really don't know what to expect when I bring home her new baby fursister. My Mom watches Sadie during the day while I am at work. Mom has a mini schnauzer that she rescued from a shelter. She is the nicest little dog you could ask for...As you all know yorkies are very energetic and have a mind of their own. Heidi (Mom and Dad's furbaby) is very patient with Sadie as Sadie will get very aggressive with her at times. Usually when Heidi comes in from outside or someone comes to the door. Sadie tends to be very jealous of other animals which I think is a trait of smaller dogs (because we tend to baby them). I know Sadies nose is going to be out of joint when I bring the next one home...I know it will take time for her to get used to her new fursister. I have had animals all my life so I know to introduce them slowly. I would never leave them alone together without supervision. I am hoping that I am not making a mistake by buying another yorkie...Once I have her I wouldn't be able to get rid of her! I would like to know how your first yorkie reacted to the new one and if they became good friends.....eventually Thank you Brenda

| If Sadie is used to see other dog around , she will probably adjust well to the new one . |

| Dont worry be happy I think that sadie will be fine with another dog you should have nothing to worry about when i first introduced hunter and daisy they loved each other right a way now when we go outside and daisy trys to get into hunters pen we have to stop her because hunters gets exited and is so big and would probably jump on her by mistake so they play with each other through the fence and when we take daisy back inside hunter crys like a baby and just looks at the sliding glass door until we come out again |

| Chachi accepted Jewels when we brought her home right away. I had to always watch them though because he wanted to play rough and she was tiny. Some dogs need more time to become acquainted but they always accept each other eventually.

| When I got my second yorkie my first one hated it, hated me, and hated my hubby. She thought she should be queen bee. Well I honestly showed as much attention to her as I did the new one. But nothing worked. It took her about 2 weeks before she would come around and want to play with the new one. Now don't get me wrong she didn't bite her or anything like that she just growled at first then just would stay some where that the baby could not get to her. It will take some time mostlikely but then they should be fine together. |
