Black & Burgandy? On another thread here ( http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3157 ) I noticed a breeder stated he had "Black & Burgandy" for sale. What is a black & burgandy yorkie? Is that a new yorkie like the parti colored german yorkies? Does anyone have a website that shows ALL of the different yorkie colors? Other than the standard colors?

AKC. Standard Sorry......but if it's not in the AKC. Standard it doesn't exist! No matter what the breeder says. Maybe you should call the breeder and ask what they mean? Some people use different words to describe the colors, it could just mean that it is the darker colors? That's just their way of making it sound interesting or exotic and special? I'm not making excuses for them, I have personally have never heard of that description/coloring!?

WRONG--there are red/chocolate/liver (whatever you call them), tri-colored, and I'm sure loads of others. The standard is set for breeding and showing purposes but lots happen genetically. Deviations do exsist and they can be registered by AKC but not shown. They should be altered also. But just because the standard doesn't allow for it doesn't mean it doesn't exsist.
