| Greesy puppy hair??? What do I do??? Ok my little lucy is 15 weeks old. My husband and I give her a bath every saturday but she looks like she needs one everyday. On sat. when we give her a bath and brush her she is so pretty....But by Sunday she looks like she hasn't had a bath in a month. It looks like if a human doesn't wash their hair for a week. Her hair looks really greesy. I wasn't sure if it was because of her age and if it's just in the process of growing out and maybe will be better in a couple months, or is it maybe the shampoo I'm using. I'm using "Pro Pet Salon" puppy shampoo with no tear formula. (No conditioner)..... Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks Crystal Also here's a pic. of her. It's looks like she has thin greesy hair... but really she has a very thick coat. it's not the coat that sticks up in the air... it's the one that lay's down..

| My Bogie is the same way. I don't use any type of conditioner or any shampoo that has conditioner. The Coat Handlers 15 seems to work the best. But even that, in about 3 days after bath he looks oily. |

| I use the Coathandlers Shampoo and Conditioner also and really like it. Here is their main website and you can find distributors for your area or buy off the internet. Coathandlers was developed by Sandra Lemire who breed/showed Yorkies. I really like this shampoo cause you can put it into their eyes and it won't hurt...this really helps with eye boogers http://www.senproco.com/coathandler/index.html

Thanks, I'll be sure to check this out..... the reason I like the shampoo I'm using is because it's tearless and doesn't hurt my pup.... I guess it's not wokring though so I need to make a change...

| I too experience the same thing. I wish I could give him an every other day bath . . . . I like him to smell really good as I sleep with him every night . Tiger's hair, particularly the hair in his head gets kinda greasy too. The rest however is kinda dry . I bathe him once a week as well and as recommended by many of the member of YT, I tried the CC products for the first time. I must have not done it right as I used all 4 containers of the kit in one bathing, as supposed to maybe only 2. I think the Thick and Thicker was responsible for making his hair coarser. I will try to use just the day to day shampoo and conditioner for his next bath to see if it will improve. I am however not too impressed with the smell. Pet Aromatics smells much much better but it does not agree with Tiger's coat as he gets flakes everywhere. I did notice there wasn't much flakes on Tiger's coat with just one use of the CC products. I ordered the sampler kit so it isn't too wasteful if it does not work. I will try the coathandlers shampoo and conditioner if the CC products isn't really for Tiger . . . . boy, I really hate this trial and error! Does the Coathandlers products have a sampler kit also? |

I agree.... I've been through I don't know how may dog food bags and dog treats that it's making me sick how much money I'm spending on my little girl. I guess I just want her to have the best! I just don't think I can purchase a gallon of something without really knowing if it's going to help or not. I'm only 23 and just bought my first house and got married so my husband is getting a little frustrated on the money I spend on my pups. I have to admit I do have a spending problem though!!!LOL

| Sorry guys but no they do not do the sample pack but you can order small bottles from petedge. http://www.petedge.com/sdx/H17197.jsp There might be other online web stores that sell it so do a google search on Coat Handlers Dog Shampoo.

As for the spending problem . . . you are not ALONE. I don't look at it that way though. Whenever anyone asks me what type of sport do I like the most? I always say "SHOPPING"! | |
