I Love Thor Donating Member | Summer Cuts Enlight of summer...that is somewhat on the way, (or should I start with spring?) do you give your yorkie a ''summer cut''? Just wondering if hair styles change with the season. I don't think I'm going to cut Thor's (I'm kinda terrified). |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I have in the past and am considering it again this summer.....the good thing about a summer cut is if you don't like it - it WILL grow back |

| I'm thinking about it too but I don't know. I go back and forth on it. My husband doesn't want it done and thinks I'll be sorry. He's probably right!

| I love summer cuts- I think they look more like the puppy you first brought home But then Chanel and Cheri's hair is so beautiful. I don't think I have the patience to let it grow out that much since I have already been keeping KimMee's short. |

| I will probably cut Luigi's hair, mainly because it is sooo cottony and has been getting some tanglea in it. And it its such a pain to work them out. But Brasco on the other hand, has such a beautiful coat. Its sooooo silky and so soft and has yet to have one tangle!! So I may let his grow. But we'll see, if it gets way too hot this summer, I will cut it!!!!! They do look soooo cute in their puppy cuts!!!!!

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We cut the girls hair last year for summer, but are growing them out now and don't plan on cutting them even for summetime!! They just won't play outside for long periods of time during the heat of the day....

| I give Bailey a short puppy cut with a teddy bear cut around his face, he looks simply adoreable. Bailey sweats really bad in the Sprint/Summer and get to smelling so this is the best way to keep him aired out.

| For sure - however you puppy is cut - should depend on the type of coat he has. My pup is staying short until he's at least a year old - his hair is short, cute, neat, and very easy to comb. Keeping him short has gotten rid of all his terrible puppy hair and his new coat is thicker and much nicer. When he's a year or so old - I'll decide if I want to let it grow. Who knows - he may be short for ever! Carol Jean |

| Loki is very cottony and we love the puppy cut so he's in it year round! We vary from 1-2 inches in the winter to 1/4 inch for HOT July. It grows back out in a month or so!
