oh no! Hallie decided to chew some gum out of my purse once and I had to cut most of her hair on her face just to get it out! I'm so glad you were able to get it off, it is such a mess!

Thank goodness I haven't had any of these issues yet. I have a friend with a Shihtzu and he found the empty jar of peanut butter. Needless to say he wanted it and wanted all of it. He woke them up with an odd banging sound on the wall. She awoke to find him staggering around with his head crammed completely in the small jar of empty peanut butter. The dog panicked and started wetting himself uncontrollably. They couldn't get it off. Her husband said he would get a knife and cut the jar off. She panicked then and grabbed ahold of the dog and stood on the jar and jerked him out. She said she couldn't risk him cutting to deep and getting the dog instead. Now the poor dog is scared to death of the smell of peanut butter. Better hope that one doesn't get gum stuck in his hair. I will have to admit...........me being the evil crazy woman I am.......I took him a get well package with peanut butter dog treats. She told me I was cruel and the dog turned his nose up at them.

Samson found a piece of gum outside once and was just standing there chewing his gum like it was nothing. It wasn't funny but boy did he look cute just like he was a human chompin on some gum. Then of course when I tried to take it away he did the whole steel jaw thing.

I know just how Harley felt with the marshmallow in his hair. When I was a kid, we had a picnic one Saturday afternoon and my cousin accidently dropped a roasted marshmallow in my freshly washed hair. My mom was fit to be tied as I had to sing someplace that night and that was before portable hairdryer.

I don't chew gum but my husband does..our oldest yorkie loves my husband to death.. but,when he is chewing gum she will not go any where near him..
She hate gum..why, I don't know.

Last night must have been the night for the sweets, Nelly came down stairs after being up stairs for about half an hour with my son. I noticed her face was really wet so I picked her up to ask her if she was trying to swim in our older dogs bowl again, when I looked there were pieces of red stuck in her fur around her mouth. She had gotten some lifesavers out of my son's room and I guess tried to wash them off as well. I did not know what to do, I tried pulling on it and then I realized that the pieces were big enough for me to bite off, I know gross but you do anything in a time of panic. My sister has a mini dacshound (I cannot spell that word) and he had gotten into the kids christmas treats and get this had eaten 15 pieces of bubblious, needless to say his first poop after that was quite large but it did not hurt him.

OMG.....I would have freaked out! I am so paranoid about Mojo getting into things like that! I am glad that things worked out!!! I would have been a nervous wreck! Thanks for posting....now I know what to do in case this ever happens here!

Peanut Butter works great on hair. The oil makes the gum slide out

I just love it when they do funny things, as long as they don't get hurt.

My pure white Bichon chewed on a ballpoint pen. I took it away from him and noticed several areas of "ballpoint pen ink" on him all over his face, chest, and front feet.

Needless to say, when I tried to wash these spots off - the color spread out all over and I had a blue dog for at least a month.

BLess your heart! What a scary job. Is there NOTHING these little guys won't get into? I just had Elvira out in the yard and at 4 mos every other word was "drop it" because she was playing squirell with an old acorn, picking up leaves from a plant I know isn't good for animals, eating flowers, grabbing the cat's tail... eating mud!!!
