Donating YT 14K Club Member | WOC...Wizard of Claws I'm posting this for Princessyorkies. We had a discussion in PMs about WOC and she wanted to share the info...just didn't want to type it all out again so with her permission, I've copied/pasted her pm and what she has to say about WOC. SHE HAS BEEN THERE IN PERSON! She can add more as she sees fit. "It was horrible. My friend told me about it but you can only imagine till you see for yourself. So her and I went there. First off you have to make an appointment, then you knock at the door once your there because they are kept locked. No one can just walk in off the street. Any ways I could go on and on but I will tell you this: It was the stinkiest place, not clean at all, not to mention the two female yorkies we asked to look at. Oh my how so very sad. They were humped over like the cage they were kept in was too small for them, they were affraid to even play. We held them and they really stunk, but I just wanted to grab them and leave to give them a good home."

here's another thread of the press that WofC is getting from news media. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d=1#post420883 i think the fact that WofC does not allow you into the back to see where the puppies are kept, instead they bring them out to you one by one at your appointment, should raise super red flags.

| I will go further and tell you all this: But it will be kind of long so be patient with me here.....You can not see where the pups are kept and of course they do not have the parents as they are more like puppy brokers. All kinds of different breeds did we see when we were there. I just couldn't believe all the horrible things my friend was telling me about them. But when we went to Fl. on vacation she asked if I wanted to go. I said sure. Well we called and they told us to make an appointment, so I did. When you go in after they unlock the door, you sign into a guest book so to speak. Oh and all their windows are covered so no peaking inside...Then one of their employees come over to you and ask what your interested in. We of course told them about two little female yorkies they had on their site for sale. The man then brought them out, I was in shock at how they looked right off. Then he placed them in a four wall wooden box sitting in front of a filthy couch they have you sit on. ( It was wow do I dare even sit down) The man told us to give the pups a few minutes to get adjusted then we could pick them up. Well one little female was all humped over and crouched down on the floor scared to death, the other little girl just laid there on the floor staring at you. There were toys in this wooden box from previous dogs who had been in there, there was also throw up in this box and I said to the man: don't you think you should clean the puck up before putting these in there. Well he looked at me funny but did clean it up. We finally picked the little girls up and unsocialized were they ever. Scared to even look at you let alone their little nubs of tails were tucked down. After a bit finally one started warming up and wanting so desperatly to play, so we did. The other little girl never did warm up. Any ways we knew what their web site said these girls weighed so I asked the man to please weigh them for me, and I asked if I could go to to see the weights myself from the scales. He said that no one was allowed back there except employees. Well the girls weighed way more than what they were advertised for. I told the man you had better change that on the web site as it was a big difference, he looked stuned. Well I could go on and on but I am here to tell you first hand ( no hear say ) that I seen this place IN PERSON, and I would not recommend anyone buying from there. This is by far the saddest circumstances I have ever seen and it made me very mad and sick to my stomach to think breeders are selling to him. I wonder if they know and if they even cared where their little furbabies are going and ending up. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I've never been there. But I HATE them - I really do - they've been nothing but a nightmare for puppies ....and I can't even believe they're still open. It's sickening and just shows where this country's head is at....to me - they're equal to a mill. They're that lowdown. |

| How horrible!!! It makes me so sick to my stomach just thinking about the conditions these dogs are living in...So, sooo sad! How can anyone even work for a place like this? My mind cannot understand why or how people can do these things...I'm sure they're totally cramped up in tiny, tiny cages! How can ANY breeder allow their puppies to be taken to such a place!!!

| It just goes to show some breeders have no morals and do not value the lives of those little furbabies that they are bringing into this world. Make me really sick to see what all I seen. I had to go and wash right away cause the odor was on me. But yet it sure made me want to take all them little puppies home with me. It was very heart breaking in the least. |

| Thinking of the whole thing makes me sick to my stomach- how can anyone say this operation is ok? How do they continue to get away with it? I am happy though that someone has witnessed this so there can be no more debate on how some view this place as ok, because they may have talked to them on the phone, or knows someone who had a pup from here shipped... we now know how bad it is from someone who was there. Thank you for spreading the word... we can all hope that someday, somehow this place is stopped. |

| Woc I saw the local news last night that had a story on them..I too had gone to get a pup ther(hangs head in shame)...it wasnt THAT bad smelling..but i asked to see a few female yorkies..and she came back with 1....and i had to wait like 20 minutes to have her bring her to me... I didnt want to settle on 1...so I asked them to call me when they got more in..I am still waiting... I had walked in right off the street....No questions asked.....but I wont go back.. Its not just them...its all of them...there is another local place to me that MUST be shut down...Dixie pups.... I got my harry therre after my first pup i got there died 2 days later of parvo..I went storming into her store with the news media...and she still refused to give me my money back.... I called Tallahassee Florida up to report her..and they took my complaint... and sent an investigator to my house and all...who advised me to see if she would replace my first pup..and she did...after 6 months..and told me THIS ONE IS HEALTHY I WONT GET THE PUPS FROM THAT OTHER PLACE again.. Meanwhile...she is still in business..and they have been trying to get her for years..when i went to report her..they said..."Oh another complaint and dead dog from dixie pups". Most of these so called breeders are getting the dogs from other countries....Argentina, and Colombia mostly... Why are they letting them bring them in...is my question.... I can go on and on.....trust me there's lots more...but i'll get off my soapbox now.... Giggle.. There is a website to try to help put WOC outta business.... Jenn

| Princessyorkies!!! What a horrible experience it sounds like you had! I am so sorry ... ..I would have had to run to the nearest animal control office and had them go there right away to save those poor babies.....I get pretty upset when I see any creature being abused like that. I know there have been horrible stories about that place on the internet but it is good for us to get a member with first hand experience. Was your visit recent? I cannot believe they are still in business if the puppies were as unsocialized and sickly looking as you described.....I cannot believe anyone, much less celebrities would buy from such a filthy disgusting place??? Yuck!! Thanks for letting us know your experience. You should post it in the Breeder Review section here. This is thread will now come up whenever a google search is done but it would be good to put it there as well to be safe. |

I don't know how to post it there other than retype it all. Not too good at that stuff yet. I did contact people who were to check into it. But there are many people trying to shut them down now and I hope they can. I was there the middle of this past December.

| I could sit here and think of so many adjectives to describe all this. But all I will say is that my heart breaks for these animals. It is very sad and disturbing.
