| Is it normal? Hi evryone, I am new at the Yorkie site and I am loving it as i can take off my doubts.. Well, I have a new puppy which is 4 months older now. But I noticed she weewee quite a lot, a mean every 3 to 4 minutes and just after shower or waking, may be normal,to this point, but during all day she keeps going all around the house if i wouldn't put newspaper i was lost. Do you think are there any abnormalities? |

| Excessive peeing can be a urinary tract infection but it is probably just because she is a puppy. Mine peed more often when they were little.

| Mitzi is 4 months and a bit now. She pees alot too. As Chachi says its a puppy thing. Mine has calmed down over the last couple of days, now she has settled in. I think it was a territorial thing with her too. She wanted to claim her new house as HERS!! LOL! Give her some time to settle in. If you are still worried after a week or so, take her to the vets just to make sure she's ok. That was my plan if Mitzi hadn't calmed down a little. |

| She pees every 3 to 4 minutes??? (Did I read that right?) No, that isn't normal. I'd have a vet check her.

| No lies.. It's true she takes every 3 to 4 minutes do pee after meal and waking and shower, then she stopps a while till after 1 hour then 3 to 4 minutes consecutives till sleeps back , even while playing i must put an eye just to make sure my carpets will still ok. She plays and pees after 4 minutes playing then stops then after while again, i don't know much about the Yorkies but my husbands older dog when puppy never did so much wee like Laila does. just after ten minutes eating she used to pee then half one hour or one hour later.. |

| My pup (5 to 6 months old) will pee 4 or 5 times in an hour - and then not pee for 4 or 5 hours. Guess he has his own schedule -- and he usually sleeps 7 to 8 hours at night without peeing. Carol Jean |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | They have tiny bladders - they go alot when they're young....IF you have concerns you can always talk to your vet but it sounds normal to me ...she just needs to be trained to go in certain areas - and good luck |
