Strange Behaviour !!!! Hi everyone, wanted to know if anyones yorkie has shown the same behaviour as ours, never saw it in a dog before. Laila is 14 weeks old and we noticed as soon as we had her that she liked to put her front paws in the water bowl as if washing them then walked around leaving a trail of damp little footprints. Nothing serious of course, just quite funny, and wanted to see if we were the only ones to notice this behaviour.

We had a female that loved to put her feet in the water dish...then she started putting all 4 feet in, she'd 'bark' in the water like she was bobbing for something, she'd smack the water and she'd sit in it...by the time she was done there was no water in the bowl and she was soaked to the bone! We had to eliminate the water dish and start using water bottles...it worked much better!

Simon used to think his water bowl was a big toy when he was little. He would drag it around splashing water everywhere! Then one day he decided he didn't really like water anymore???!!?!?!? I think it may be a stage with puppies, just exploring what is around them
