| Changing Diet - Help Please Need a little help please! Aria eats Eukenuba puppy dry food and I have heard so many good things about other brands that I wanted to try switching her food. Not to mention that it doesn't really seem like she likes her food, she'll eat it but she always tries to see if there are other options first . I also wanted to give her something with no corn. She scrathes quite a bit and has some bad eye goop. So I was thinking she might be allergic to the corn? Anyhow, I bought her some Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul (dry) and she LOVED IT! We mixed it with her other food and she picked at it and only ate the Chicken Soup. Well tonight she ended up having diarrhea. I am scared to give her some more Chicken Soup. What should I do? I really want to get her off Eukenuba but don't want her getting sick. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!!

| How old is she? I gave my puppies bottled water, 1 gallon, until it was gone. It cleared up the diarrhea. They did the same when I changed their food, picked out the new food and we never looked back.

| Aria is 9mos old. She only drinks bottled water and we make sure her bowl is never empty. So you think we shouldn't keep trying to switch her food even if she doesn't really like the Eukenuba?

| On the contrary! I would switch and be done with it. I just don't think Eukanuba will give you the health and coat you desire, just my opinion.

| Switch Slowy When switching foods it needs to be very slow and graduall. The stomach needs time to adjust to the new foods bacteria. Mix very little of the new food in the beginning and slowly add more and decrease old food. This has worked for me

YT 3000 Club Member | When you change food change it over at about a weeks time or longer, I had chester on royal canin yorkie food and he has great hair, he just had the itches and it has some corn in it so I changed to solid gold for little dogs, he is doing well on it and he will eat it before he will the rc, I think they all need a break from the same ol stuff sometimes |

| I just switched from chicken soup to canadaie to solid gold and merrick soft....I was mixing them with the old food and gradually adding the new but like you said, they only pick the one they like (new one) and leave the old so they are not gradually switching, I couldnt find a way to regulate that. I was just so happy that I found something they loved finally. Yesterday Bella had strange looking poop so I took it to the vet (ick) lol....they tested it and said her tummy was upset because of the switch, and to now just continue feeding her what I am and dont switch again. They also gave me a five day supply of pills for her upset tummy.
