sniffles My granddaughter Nina has been sniffeling since yesterday. We thought it was allergies yesterday because we walked her in the woods. Today she still has it. My Dobe or Jack Russell have never had a cold or sniffles. I figured this is a yorkie thing then. I was hoping to wait for the vet until monday morning unless it gets worse. Shes eatin ok but not as much today. She just had her shots last week. So it was finally ok to take her out to parks. she was wearing sweater, and it was 60 out. I dont know what we did wrong. Oh, and shes sleeping a little more but she still plays with the guys when shes up and shes drinking and pee poo fine. Patty and Nina

I wouldn't get a vet bill yet - I'd just keep an eye on her. She doesn't sound very sick at this time. One of my dogs came home of the the woods once - sneezing for two days. I am sure he "sniffed" stuff up into his nose on the walk....and it took a few days of sneezing to get rid of it. He never appeared sick during this time. And - I can't really judge my dog's health on their eating or playing habits any day. They both eat more some days then they do other...and are also much more playful some times then they are at other times. Keep an eye on the little guy - hopefully, she's just fine. Carol Jean

When Chase gets the sniffles, our vet has me give him 1/2 of Benadryl tablet once per day. His weight when he told me this was around 8 lbs. My vet said this was safe for Chase. Not knowing your pet's medical history, I cannot recommend this to you, but thought it may be information you could use.
