| How many lives does your Yorkie have? You know how they say cats have 9 lives, I wonder how many Yorkies have. I know Pita's had a few near death experiences. She jumped out of my daughter's arms when she was a puppy onto the tile head first She has run down the road almost getting hit twice She has been under the feet of numerous horses, goats, donkeys She almost hung herself trying to jump out of her carseat with her harness still attached. I have since shortened the tie in the carseat. I know there's more. Is it just me being careless with my baby or does everyone have these experiences? Believe me, I am careful with her but things happen. Please tell me it's not just me!

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic has several as well: When she was 3 months old she jumped out of my hands and landed on our concerte paio and wasn't hurt at all. Her first Christmas, around 4 months old, she decided to try some chocolate and ate probably 6-7 Hersey Kisses....she was near death!! She has run out of the house several times and never gotten into any trouble!! Sailor has had only major incident: She jumped out of the car at a crowded gas station before and started to run towards the highway, luckily someone stopped her!! Thinking of all these, really make me count my blessing....

| Oh my! My heart stopped reading the posts on this... So many accidents, my goodness. I've been counting my blessings. Schatzie and Ransom would live in a bubble if possible. I have had bad experiences in the past (none with accidents though) with a few of my loved fur kids so I think in my house they have only one life. And this one life of each I'm going to protect with all my might!!

| 1 2nd day I had chloe she went into hypoglycemic coma 2 Chloe fell off the back of the couch right onto tile, scared the crap out of me. 3 She also sort of got gently kicked off the bed, I was surprised she didnt break something. 4 And she was lost outside for 15 minutes once, but I found her in the neighboors yard. Thats all I can think of, and hopefully I will never have another "scare" These dogs are absolutely fearless and unfortunately IMO accidents come with the breed. Im going to re-name chloe Evil Knievel Im lucky we havent had any broken bones.

Couple other incidents.... 2. When he was wee little, he was sitting at the bottom of our front steps, dd flies (lotta flying at my house) out the front door, over the steps and KICKS him in the head. I don't know who cried harder....Trace, my daughter, or ME 3.Choked on kibble that I had to pry out of his throat. 4.Not looking when he runs in the street. This, fortunately, has improved 110%. No more going in the street, even though you can see the yearning look of...."i wanna to across the street". His girlfriend lives there 5. Falling off the edge of the pool...not in it...on the ground Fortunately, he's never been seriously injuried, but reading over this list...maybe we should buy him a bike helmet of some type

| I know, every time something happens to Pita I swear I won't let anything else happen to her but as bchgrl said there's a lot of flying at my house also so S**t happens. I would love to wrap her in bubble wrap but unfortunately that would ruin her coat... Pita did fall in the pool once, I was standing right there, and scooped her out. She was sinking fast, that hair got wet and pulled her down fast! I am super careful about the pool now.
