I got my Ava who is under 3 lbs when she was 11 weeks and I kept her in a playpen by my bed for about a month because she was so good!! There was a pee pad in there and food and water and so she could entertain herself when ever she woke up. She sleeps in bed with me now as do the other two and I just love it. I have made some stairs to get up and down so they can all go to the pee pads as they need to and my sleep is never interrupted.

When my daughter's dog Buddha was a baby he got sick and we let him slepp in the bed because we had to feed him every three hours, we put a pee pad on the bed and he used it! So, that can work well.
