| Any ideas? My little girl Suzi, is very posessive of anything that is mine, my hubby tried to move my trousers yesterday and she flew at him, its not the first time its happened, and im sure it wont be the last, any ideas on how to stop this happening would be apreciated. she isnt usually a nasty girl infact shes a sweetheart, as long as nobody touches anything of mine

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We have had some problems with Magic being possessive of things around the house...and still do at times and what we have heard after a lot of research is that you have to make sure she knows that you are the pack leader...otherwise she is the leader and this will cause many problems for both you and your husband...I would look into the Dog Whisper and the lessons he teaches, they have really helped with Magic...she is still learning but has become much better!!!

| Hi viki The dog whisperer is Cesar Milan you can watch him on national geographic channel. It is very important to nip that in the bud. she will be happier in the end. |

I agree! It is so very important that she know that YOU are the pack leader. The "alpha". Good luck and have fun training.

| That is soooo cute! She's protective of mommy!! I see how it can get frustrating. I agree with the other posts. You have to show that although you do love her, YOU are the boss. if you husband moves your truosers and she gets aggressive, take the same trousers and hand them to your husband in front of your dog so that you're showing her its ok.

| I keep wondering how our Yorkies got so smart! They can wrap us around their. whatever is the equivalent of our finger..and we are concerned that we will traumatize THEM!!!!!!! Go figger. I know that we as the pack leaders have to establish the fact that we are the boss. I have not had the problem about my posessions but it still sounds as if your baby is taking care of the posessions of the top dog..Better nip that in the bud or there is gonna be problems later. Can you imagine our concerns about our Yorkies?? Would we do that if we had a slight problem withour skinkids?? Just wondering.. |
