| OK, this is just nasty... Whenever I put food out for Daisy she takes a mouth full and goes to the pee pad to eat it.. That's just gross!!!! Why does she do this? I've noticed that sometimes she even wants to lay down on it.. It's not just when it's a clean one either.. It could be peed on and she'll still do it.. I never leave poop.. I always take that off as soon as I notice that she went so it's just pee, but still GROSS!!! |

| I think it's just a puppy thing. Tigger did this too, but now he eats at his bowl. she should grow out of it.

| spencer never takes his food over to his pee pad to eat, however he always grabs a few bites and takes them on his blankie and eats them, then runs back over for more and so on...i think it's a puppy thing, he's only 10 weeks. |

| I would remove the pad while she's eating. Coco did this for a short amount of time, not eat on it but sleep on it..lol

| They like to sit or lay on something soft when they eat. Is her bowl on a hard surface? You might try putting a rub or dog bed next to it. |

| Gracie doesn't go to a pee pad, but she does like to eat on the carpet in the living room, instead of on the linoleum on the kitchen floor. I just figured she didn't want to eat on that cold floor....

| Monkey doesn't eat on the pee pad, but he does lay on it ALL THE TIME. I don't know why he does this. He'll take his toys and put them on there and just lay on it. I just walk by him and say "freak dog"...lol

| It's just a doggie thing. Try putting a rug down for her. Show her how to use it by picking her up (with the mouthful of food) and putting her on the rug. Praise her HUGELY if she eats on the rug. Keep this up and she will eventually get the idea. It might take several hundred times (no joke) for her to really understand and/or be willing to use the rug instead of the pee pad. |

| Toto used to put hers on the carpet and I put a little hand towel down for her feeding tray to sit on. She can then put her food on the towel, rub her face in it or whatever strange little "Yorkie ritual" she wants to do & all I have to wash is the towel!!
