| ![]() Ok. Here's the deal...... My Lucy is home from 8a.m to 3:00 all by herself 4 days a week. (She has run of the kitchen... She's not in a crate) Well my B-day is January 31st. and I want to get another puppy for her to play with. She is 13 weeks yesterday and I think she needs a friend to play with during the day.... My husband says absoultly not!!!! He said maybe we will get another one in a couple years but I think it would be better if they would grow up together... So here's my question!!! Has anyone been through this and won??? How do you talk him into it??? I was thinking about bringing one home and messing up it's hair and saying I found it on the side of the road but I know he won't believe me.. I just got to do something.... Any help??? Crystal |

| ![]() Talking him into the second one was easy. He thought we should have two together too. Now I want a third one and that has been more difficult. He says maybe in a year or two.

| ![]() I didn't have that big of a struggle (not married but live with my BF). I wanted to get my second one when Ruby was still young so they could grow up together too. All i did was say "If i can get another one then you can do ......" and just picked something that he has wanted or wanted to do for awhile. haha make it even. Or just do what my mother did to my dad, get one without him knowing, bring it home, he'll get mad and then put the puppy in his arms and its instant love. ![]()

| ![]() Thanks!!!! That's a great idea about the trade off. Now I just have to think what I want to deal with him with. He WANTS alot of stuff... We're on a budget so he can't have everything he wants so it shouldn't be to hard. Thanks Again, I dind't think of a trade |

| ![]() I have had no luck. My hubby says absolutely no. He feels that kobe is so spoiled that he would not like another one. Also, Kobe is 7 and he thinks that age difference would be too big. But I have not given up yet. ![]() |

| ![]() See my husband grew up around Great Danes all his life. So we have a Great Dane and a Yorkie. Our Lucy 1 which we only had a few week and Lucy Too that we have now are his first experience with small dogs. The thing is if it was possible he probly loves Lucy Too more than I do (Again if it was possible). So I dont know why he doesn't want another one.... |

| ![]() I don't understand the logic of "waiting a few years." I know there are some people that truly do need to wait for money/time reasons, but if both are available, why wait? I guess it is just me, I live in the now. If I want a puppy now, I'll get a puppy now! If there isn't going to be a huge change "in a few years" then what is the difference? A few years will turn into more few years, which will turn into more and more few years! I know I couldn't wait that long!

| ![]() I just kept tellling my hubby that I was going to get another one. I had found Widget and knew I was getting her for a couple of months without telling him. When I came home with her and put her in his arms that was it! ![]()

| ![]() Well for me it was pretty easy, whenever we had to leave Chloe by herself I would cry because I felt so bad for her to be home by herself. So when my hubby would want to go somewhere either I would say no bc Im not leaving Chloe or I would start to cry because I felt so bad. So then he got tired of sitting at home 24 hours a day 7 days a week and decided to let me get another one for her to play with.
