Joan, he is actually only about 3/4 inch in body length and his fins are fairly long. He just looks big in that picture because the glass/water magnifies it

He's named after Kimberly's Simon because Kimberly got Simon a Betta fish for his birthday and I guess I kind of copied (her Simon was named after Simon Cowel from American Idol)

Our goldfish my he RIP passed a few months ago after winning him 5 years ago. "Fishie" will be missed. My daughters batta fighting fish's name is Snapper.

Oh yes! I had 18 at one time! And I know all about cleaning all those bowls, I had mine in vases,, YIkes, I had all the junk to add to the water,and all the medicines, when they got sick, I was out of control,,then I got Bailey and did not have time to clean all those every 3 days, so I gave alot away,,and now I dont have any... But they are pretty to look at. A friend of mine had around 80 at one point... Can you imagine!
My first on was named Bippy and the others had names but I never remembered them all.
