| ![]() I'm Rodney and my Yorkie's name is Sunny. He's 1 year 7 months. My wife and I have owned him for 1 1/2 months. He was recently neutered and the healing process has been challenging to say the least... However, he's been a wonderful dog through it all ![]() |

| ![]() Welcome to YT Congratulations on your new fur baby. You soon will see what life is like being owned by a yorkie lol. If Sunny is not already command trained, I suggest teaching him basic commands, sit, stay, come, wait. Terriers have a short concentration span, so only train 5 to 7 minutes at a time through out the day, reward with a treat and lots of praise when he gets it right. Treat can be a kibble or 2. Yorkies love to please their humans. Training longer than 10 minutes they are no longer paying attention to you. Yorkies are also mischievous lil rascals, if you don't see him that means he's getting into mischief lol. They love shredding tissues, toilet paper, napkins, paper towels so keep those items when he cannot reach them. At 1 1/2 years old he's still a puppy, enjoy these days, they grow so fast.
