| ![]() Hello everyone. I’m hoping somebody can please help. I have a seven year old female Yorkie who seems to be going backwards in regards to her potty business. She is crate trained and has been doing well up until about the last year and a half. Now she seems to just P and poop in her kennel and I don’t know how to revert her back to not doing this. We’ve tried everything with her and it occurs only at night. Previous to that she only did it as a small puppy. She was good through the night and through the day if needed but again now seems to reverting back to going potty in her kennel. I’ve taken her to the vet to make sure she has no physical issues and everything including bloodwork are fine. Can anyone please help with suggestions as to why this might be occurring. |

| ![]() I wish I could help you out, all my dogs were house broken, I never had a pad trained or kennel trained pooch. Hopefully members with indoor trained pups will chime in.

| ![]() Did they do a urinalysis? Basically you start from the begging again with potty training like she’s a puppy. I would get a smaller crate so she doesn’t have room to go potty in it. If she is not telling you she needs to go out in the middle of the night when she goes in her crate you may need set an alarm to take her out. Some people have success with scheduling the feeding in a way where she won’t have to poo at night.
