| Our Abbey was only 6 Our Yorkie Abbey was only 6 years old just so beautiful and sweet, but her blood tests showed she was in kidney failure, liver failure and pancreas failure. We found out pretty soon after we got her she had liver disease. But we loved her and thought we would give her the best life we could she was loved so much. My heart broke but we knew it was best to put her to sleep than to let her suffer. She was my everything and she passed away on our granddaughters birthday. It was difficult all the way around. Our breeder wanted to know when she passed away, I told her and she said she had a little girl left in her new litter. I decided along with the grandkids and hubby, to get the puppy. I was just going thru the motions. Who would think this little bundle would change our hearts, she has so many of the same mannerisms as our Abbey, She keeps me busy so I don’t have time to cry which is probably good. Our older Yorkie hated Abbey they had to be kept separate she loves this new Yorkie and they play together all day. It has changed our household. Our older Yorkie would always growl at me she loved my husband, she now sits with me and plays with the baby. But Abbey was my little love. She was always with me , I have severe asthma. She would just sit with her paw in my hand when I was sick. |

| I’m so sorry for your loss. I would be careful with the new puppy from the same breeder because it sounds like their may have been some genetic issues.

| I'm so sorry for your loss of Abbey. What a sweet, special soul. They steal a piece of your heart and never give it back. The new puppy will help make the grief a little more tolerable. What's her name? She sounds adorable. Last edited by faeryphoebe1; 08-18-2021 at 02:06 AM. |
