| ![]() When she was about 3 months old her coat was changing colors and it was a very light silver, almost white color. At around 6 months I noticed her coat changed colors again. This time it’s a dark steel blue. Her mom is silver/tan & dad is steel blue/gold. I thought when they break early it indicates a light colored yorkie? Is there still a chance she can be steel blue? I’ve seen yorkies go from dark to light but never light to dark. Or at least this drastically. I should mention that she suffered from low blood sugar when she was around 3 - 5 months. Not sure if that contributed to the hair changes. After running several tests and adding supplements to her diet, she’s all better now. I still wouldn’t mind a silver, both are equally pretty to me. Wasn’t able to attach files on the mobile version. Here are 2 links with recent pictures. (Please copy & paste to your browser) https://ibb.co/vPnJn3D https://ibb.co/7RD8FML |

| ![]() She's a beautiful color. I have my adopted boy 6 years (he was 2 1/2 when I got him) his coat has changed from silver grey, to dark grey, to salt and pepper. His coat is constantly changing but staying to a darker salt and pepper. Sounds like your little girl will also be going through several color changes. She'll be beautiful no matter what her color is ![]()

| ![]() My oldest now passed girl changed colors her whole life. Joey has gotten a bit darker when he was lighter so I'm sure its possible. It seems their colors can constantly change.

| ![]() I think Emma's pretty dark but has highlights of steel blue and tan. She's 7 now and in a modified schnauzer cut but when her hair was long you could really see it all shine through. Yorkies can change throughout their life time, its one of the things I love about our babies.

| ![]() Cody also has a white tuft on his chest, his tan hair has never changed color, just his saddle.

| ![]() Penny has a big patch of white on her chest, a little on her chin and a little on the center of two of her back paws which also has one white nail each. Supposedly the white means they carry the parti gene but I wasn't going to breed so it didn't matter to me.
