Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | breeder threatening me hello, just wanted to update everyone about a breeder in my area..... This breeder appears to breed quality pups the following are issues I had with her. Filled out her application and website stated that deposit was $200 and yorkies ranged from $2500 and up, as she breeds all colors and sizes. I indicated I wanted a black and tan (no break in the coat) and a standard size pup, she texted back that the price would be $3000. She said her litter would be ready in January 2021 and she would let me know when the pups were born and get deposit, pups were due Oct 1, 2020. Never heard from her until I contacted her again November 10 and she said they changed there fees and now the deposit was $500, but all puppies had been sold but her mom breeds them and so there was a male available. I immediately send deposit via venmo. She said she would send more pics in the coming weeks, never go any! on Approx Dec 28 I contacted her to send pics of which she did but never told me the pup was going to be $3500. She said the pup would be ready in 3 days. For the 2nd time I asked her to call me to firm things up-no call, then for the 2nd time I asked for the copy of the contract-no contract sent- but now she texted me the the pup was now 3500. I said no and asked for my deposit back of which she said she couldn't return until the next day! She did add that she was too busy with kids and dogs to get back to me. Text messages were nasty telling me that if I couldn't afford another $500 then I should not buy one. So, now I have posted the review of my experience and she went off with text messages saying how if I didn't remove my review then she will essentially blackball me with all other breeders, because there is a list somewhere to list bad buyers. I have posted her test message responses in the picture sections of the review site so everyone can see her true colors. I guess I would like to know if any of you know if this "list" actually exists? Thanks so much!

| Can you give us details on the breeder? If you paid a deposit its a promissory note for the agreed price. If she changes the price then its a breach and the deposit would be refunded. There is no list of bad buyers. In my personal opinion you're being scammed. If its a pet puppy the price NEVER should change. If its a show dog the price would change and there would be an understanding based on it. I would contact your local authorities, and take her to small claims if she doesnt refund. If you go that route, do not give any indication that you're going that route. Save all contact details. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Look to see if ca, has lemon laws. Save all communicat between you two. Print them out. Hand annotate as well what you said, what she said. Be as detailed as possible . Date day time of call, and duration of call. If you recorded them all to the better

| I didn't see who this breeder is; but, if she is advertising different colors, I would not refer to her or her pups as "quality". She does not sound reputable at all just based on what you have posted here. First thing to do is go to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America and I will bet she is not on their list of breeders. Any "list" she will report you to probably doesn't have a breeder you should get a pup from in my personal opinion. You may have lost that money....but, I would not have sent her anything without a contract. You can try small claims court.... good luck

| Too late to edit the above post; but, anyone who bred an unregistered yorkie and advertised the puppies for $1,100 OBO is not someone I would deal with.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Yep that is her! Thanks so much for your responses! She did give me my deposit back, but not right away, I had to send her a request through venmo...she lies through her teeth, I guess I dodged a bullet. Seem like there aren't a lot of good breeders breeding anymore, retired I guess. Please PM me as I want, of course a reputable one.

| You dodged a huge bullet! I know of some good breeders in Washington/Oregon area. They dont do "teacup", or "mini yorkies". Last edited by xxintek; 01-07-2021 at 07:18 PM. |

Adriana Sabadash is also a good breeder but she retired her original dams, she has 2 new ones but they are all super cute. Both include tail dock, dew claw removal, 1 year health guarantee, akc, and give you all the vet information. If you're willing to wait, I'd for sure put a deposit with luxe yorkshire terriers. | |
