| Human Pharmacy I recently filled Thumper's prescription at Walgreens and it went extremely well. I have never used a pharmacy before to get his meds. However, Chewy.com did not sell the medication and it was cost prohibitive for me to travel to his vet just to pick up meds. I was able to create a profile for Thumper under my account. Now when I need a re-fill for meds I can just submit it online. Has anyone else ever gotten their pups meds from a regular pharmacy? This is also beneficial that if I ever travel and need a prescription filled I know Walgreens will fill it as long as it is a Human medication and they have it in stock. Thought I would share in case anyone ever needs a way to fill meds.

| It depends on the medication and dosage. Not all are obtainable from human pharmacies.

Walgreens suggested calling beforehand to make sure they can fill the prescription before having the vet calling it in.

| Many years ago, Boo the Boxer, had her own pharmacy account at Walmart. The sweet pharmacy lady would light up with a beautiful smile and ask about Boo anywhere she saw me in the small town where we lived. She was prescribed two "human" meds for her Boxer Cardiomyopathy. | I have three pups on Reglan and I get it at Kroger. The gal who works in the pharmacy found a coupon for it. I pay $25 for a huge bottle that lasts for months. So much cheaper than my vet. The first time I bought it, it was $70 and I was actually happy with that...so huge win! My vet always tells me about options like that.

| I used Walmart the last year of Callie’s life for her blood pressure medications. It was the cheapest but eventually with all the meds she was on it just became easier to get them at the vet with the others.

| We fill scripts for animals all the time, its often much cheaper than from your vet. But like Linda said, not all vet meds are carried at human pharmacies.
