| What do you take on a trip? Say you are going on a trip with your pup or pups, what do you take with you for them? What is the most important?

| The very first thing I do is find ER vets along the route. I use website whatshalfway.com Say I am going to Annapolis MD, that's a 4 hour trip from Pennsylvania . I can find what is the 1/2 way town, which is Woodlyn Del 2 hrs from my house. Then I find the 1/2 way point from my house to woodlyn Del. which is Allentown a one hour ride. Then I find the 1/2 way point from Woodlyn Del. to Annapolis which is Denton MD one hour ride. I find ER vets in all 4 areas. all one hour apart. It's a bit of work, but for me well worth the time if I need an emergency vet visit while in route and one at point of destination. I take more then enough food, Sir Cody only drinks Poland Spring water, I take 2 gals. which is way more then enough I always take extra in case of a longer unplanned stay. First aid kit, shampoo one never knows what he'll get into, his brushes, combs, latex bands for his top knot, scissors to cut the latex bands, cotton balls for eye boogers, treats, his bed, god forbid he has to lay on "a bare" floor, his fav. toys, his food and water bowls, they must be the ones he always eats from , a couple of tee shirts, pee pads although he doesn't use them he knows what they are, in a strange place he will use it if he absolutely needs to go. In the car I keep one gal. jug of water, if I transfer his water into smaller plastic bottle he won't drink the water lol, his water bow land the stroller. This stroller is a life saver to keep him contained if I am visiting friends, houses Cody is not familiar with, no snooping around or take an unplanned shopping trip. This is just off the top of my head, I may have forgotten a thing or two, reason why I keep a check list lol. I keep a check list taped inside on the door of my clothes closet to make sure everything I need I take. He has his overnighter and I have mine lol. YES, what we do for our furbabies. As Joy has pointed out, traveling with fur babies is like traveling with young children.

| I traveled with Callie a lot and she had all the travel gadgets lol. Joey is up to possibly get a photo job so if he does it’s in PA so trying to figure out everything I might need.

| Right lol. I remember Callie having more bags then me so I couldn’t imagine the bags for 3 lol. It would just be me, my dad and Joey. We aren’t letting grandma out of the house yet lol. Mom would stay with Ollie, Penny and my grandma. When we go to pet expos I have the van packed full almost with just stuff for them.

| Thank goodness it's just Joey lol. Do you need outfits for this photo shoot, will this be a over night trip. I ask because you may have to take more along then you would if it was just a day trip. For me from Pa. to Annapolis MD that's a 4 hour trip, kinda hard to do that in one day round trip. Start making a list of the most necessary items first, food, water, meds. if he takes them, copy of Rabies vaccine paper, they don't accept just the tag on the collars, then work your way from there.

| I don't do a lot of long trips but I keep a check list in case an emergency trip comes up. All my family is 3 and 4 hours from me. I have a list of Best Western motels for all family members for "just in case". Best to be prepared then scampering around trying to think of what I need.

| I haven't traveled with my two long distance in a few years but when I did they had more bags and items than I did for a 2 week trip. Thumper gets nervous in the car if I do not sit with him so I put him and Bella in the crate as they feel more comfortable. I lay pee pads all over the back seat incase they had any accidents. From memory I brought the following 1. Food 2. Bottles of water 3. Bowls 4. Pee Pads 5. Belly Bands and diapers 6. First Aid Kit 7. Crate 8. Toys 9. Jackets and Sweaters depending on weather and time of year 10. Leashes and harness 11. Poop bags 12. Toys 13. Medication

| I'm sooo ready to do more traveling with Jackson again. I miss it. 2020 obviously put a damper on things. We're about to go camping this week hopefully if weather cooperates. But anyway I always have: - their dog bowls (we have the Yeti Boomer 4 bowls, durable for outdoor type activities) - their food (I always pack a few days extra, as well, just in case). And Jackson-approved treats lol for his tummy. - Jackson's meds (even though he doesn't take daily meds, I like to keep his tummy medicine on hand justttt in case, so we have a zip-lock bag with the important ones). - I usually have a few different harnesses and leashes (and of course bandanas!) and poop bags. - rain coat (our Voyagers K9 Apparel is always with us - never know when rain might hit and we want to still be able to explore a bit, without getting him soaked/cold). - tummy warmer and/or winter jacket (also from Voyagers k9, depending on the time of year). - first aid kit (I usually keep this in the car, just for emergencies). - car seat (stays in the car) If I think of more, I'll add.....
