| Dr. Marty's Nature Blend Food my vet just told me my Yorkie has an elevated ALT (Liver) score - 207. he is 3 years old. 2018 it was 44, 2019 it was 12, 2020 it is 207. You would think they would have told me something - chumps! I am thinking it has something to do with the food I put him on Dr. Marty's Nature Blend. Anyone else have a dog with an elevated ALT? |

| I’m not familiar with that brand of dog food, but I looked on their website, and the listed fat content is 27%. https://drmartypets.com/product/natures-blend/ I’m not a medical expert, so I can’t give an opinion as to whether that fat content would have any effect on a healthy dog with no genetic predisposition toward liver issues, but it seems possible it might have an effect on a dog who has such a genetic predisposition. And, unfortunately, we often don’t know that a pup has a genetic predisposition toward an issue until it actually goes from predisposition to disease process. Please keep us updated. What has your vet recommended? |
